I guess one thing that helped you is that you are very confident with the way you speak, you are very fluent in English. I guess a plus is that that you are eloquent. My theory regarding this is that there are Filipinos that can't express themselves fully when being interviewed and they can't answer the questions fully, they might understand the question but can't come up with the correct tenses to say what they really think about a certain topic. Consequently being denied the visa.

Bonbon C thank you so much! I agree, it does play i role i suppose on how one speaks or explains themselves but also i think the mig agency doesnt get so clear that they could actually book an interpreter if they feel unsure re the language!

Steve Ong Hi! Unfortunately, its not allowed. Basic rule is you apply for a resident/partner visa outside Sweden. Very special cases are allowed to apply inside (if you have an existing work or partner visa, etc). They are super strict about this and if you dont follow there’s high chances you get denied or youll be sent back home and reapply. When you have a tourist visa, you’re supposed to follow rules on that otherwise madedeny ka lang 😢

I got a job as a makeup artist first in a makeup boutique first then got promoted as the store manager, all without having to speak Swedish. I was also a makeup school instructor and did my lessons to my students in English. That lasted about a year but during that course I was already learning Swedish. :)

Is there a time period that you are required to actually to stay and live in Sweden while you're on your Sambo Visa? If you are away more than a certain amount will they not allow you to renew it once it expires?

Hi, it usuallt depends on what situation you are in and from what visa youre coming from. I got a 2 year temporary permit and then when it was about to expire i applied for permanent. Now depending on how long youve been in sweden but technically 3 years on a sambo visa then you can apply for citizenship. Some wait 5 years, so not 100% sure on this! these info are online so best to look there to confirm 🥰

Also sometimes if youve had a work visa for a while, when you apply for sambo visa you can get permanent already. Really depends on the case officer and it really is about your strong connection to sweden.

Hi Angelica! Thank you! Im not sure about the actual laws on this but I had to pay the total amount. When i applied in school i paid for initial amount to get a spot in the course but then its also that you should be able to prove you have the full amount of the tuition fee in your bank plus expenses. The amount per day is stated in the migrations website. 🥰 good luck!

Hi, im not 100 percent sure which card should be used but I suppose it shouldn't be an issue. I mean important thing is you paid for your application and you can show a receipt. The fee isn't really a big substantial amount for them to question where the money is coming from. :) This is just my opinion. :)

Hmmm, im not sure po since every case is very unique. It depends on your status, there are so many requirements too that one has to fulfil. Best to read through the migrations website since they have all the facts and info there. :)

Not necessarily, theres so many ways proving you are partners. We showed photos of travels together, photos of him meeting both our families, etc. We sent chat conversations too. Tho im not sure they really looked into this. I think they do have preferences and ways to check how. My name wasnt on the apartment contract since it was my boyfriends and he purchased it before i came to sweden. But if you are renting, it should be in his name at least. It cant be under his parents name or someone else’s. Hope this helps!
