I came back here again after I'd listen to his solo-first mini album. These are my experiences with his vocal: I felt comforting that everything will be okay while listen to "THAT's OKAY" throughout the last 18 months of his enlistment. I has walked down the memory lane of my father & I with sorrow heart and tearing while I was listening to "DAD"! I again felt relaxing as he has reassured (with his voice) in "I'M FINE"! How could these happened to me, I am NOT Korean but he could made me understand the meaning of the songs (I confirmed my understanding with translation after) by his voice along with the music!

Do Kyungsoo is just incredible in every sense. He is one of the few vocalists who can make your heart flutter and cause a storm of emotions. He manages his deep voice and sweet timbre with such ease that the same part can sound completely different "starting very roughly and ending unrealistically gently". Kyungsoo's unique voice gives each song a unique charm. I'm ready to listen to his voice as much as I want.! Even when Kyungsoo just speaks, he wants to listen and listen to endlessly, such a pleasant voice.

Oh no I'm late for the vocal analysis of my favorite vocalist 😭 I totally agree with your analysis, as an amateurish producer I can see so much potential in his voice. His tone has a quality that not a lot have, he can cut through any mix! His high belts have a heaviness yet it's the bright harmonics all his voice to go well with a lot of instruments, and still have presence. I can't wait to ear his album and what producers could do with his voice. Thank you for your appreciation, Kyungsoo have something that attracts us a lot I think (men).

D.O is probably better than 80-90% of kpop vocalists who has wide ranges but strained notes. It's just a matter of who's singing more healthier as they go higher or lower and consistency. D.O really has a dream tone man, that's what i love about him.

Thank you. I enjoyed your explanation very much. I don't know anything about techniques musically so technical jargon sounds like alien language to me but you made it so easy to understand and learn from you. On top of that you were not biased at all so I appreciate that. D.O. is my bias and I stan him because of his beautiful voice, great personality and ginormous talent in the field of music and acting. Visual is just icing to the cake. Basically, when I listen to him I don't look for techniques. I listen because his voice is so calm, soothing and velvety. It's heaven to my ears and it's nice to know that technique wise he knows what he is doing. I hope Kyungsoo continues to hone his craft to achieve greatness someday. He is already great as he is and I'm looking forward to more of that lovely voice now that he is out of the military. Great job Sam. More power to your channel ❤

(the rose doesn't have very many songs though - i think they have like 20 - because they had an issue with the company not paying them for 3 years and they had to terminate their contract, just really messy and unfortunate stuff)

Great Video, however, I would also like to state that although Kyungsoo may have trouble sustaining 5th octave notes and occasionally B4s, phrasing these notes with great placement is not an issue for him as it does not look like it takes a lot for him to do so, examples are 2:35 and 2:40 in Its Still a dark Night and his adlibs at the end of their song Peter Pan. I look forward to the next video, possibly Hweseung from N.Flying.

I am a tenor and i find it so hard to mix on an F4 and G4, it's weird because you said tenors have it easy mixing on F4 and G4. But you see that A4 and Bb4 and Eb5 and F5 for me are my go to Notes, love! Love!! Love!!!!, i feel unstoppable on these notes.
