This is exactly what I think of when I think Aussie Native trees. Stellar job mate, a truly iconic piece of Australian art IMHO.

At first I thought this tree was going to look like a french poodle but it turned out looking like a real tree in the mini size. The last couple cuts refined it. By the way, great morning shot. Thanks for sharing.

Video 11! Really awesome! I actually think its a lot simpler your technique and does create pads and ramification, as long as it looks good I say, and it does! Huge trunk on that tree and agree a pot one day is going to look epic!

Hi Sam! I like that you think outside the box and that you have the courage to try something new and different. That is art! I have to get used to that style. But i think i like it cause i love the tree up to now. On evergreeen trees like this, a hedging method has the disadvantage, that you cut leaves in half and they might stay for a quite a while on that tree looking not as good as if you cut every branch on its own. But who cares when in the end the tree looks great. Keep the videos coming! Maybe you can even do two months! Hahaha! Hope the monetizing of the channel rewards you a bit for your efforts! Until next time! Hope you show my pics soon! Haha!

Cheers mate. Yeh I think in the future a more delicate approach will be necessary. Just getting basic structure for now 😀

The tree turned out fantastic in my opinion. The sunrise was a nice touch. I enjoyed the last few Freddy Kruger cuts at the end where you exposed the right side and really separated that level. Good Call Sams Aussie Scissor Hands

Impressive tree, Sam. Never heard of mallee style until this introduction, but it really works with this example. Like yourself, I tend to find the easiest, but most efficient way of doing any project. The outcome is as impressive as your sunrise. CHEERS!

I realize you are extremely busy, Sam, but if it’s not too much trouble can you show us foreigners what a malleluca and a bottle brush look like in the natural world? I really like all the twigging in this tree and almost prefer the back to the front because of it. It’s looking great and that sunrise was gorgeous! Does it look like that every day you go to work? What a wondrous start to your day! Cheers!

Really nice tree, the different heights make it look like a huge tree. And it seems to work this method. Only not sure what it will do for the branch structure in the long run...

How do you do a mallee style with a callistemon buddy? I mean it looks friggin amazing but the trunk will never hold that much foliage without weeping naturally 😂😂 god I wish I could fast forward my Australian native life as old as you are.. ps your not fat at all 😍

Don't take up hair dressing with that technique. I like the tree but the apex looks a bit wierd. Im thinking you could probably remove even more branches and open it up a bit more.
