Last time I was at a convention I kept seeing Urahara cosplays all over, and me not knowing much about Bleach kept thinking "Wow cool Philza costume" whenever I saw them, only to realize a moment later they were Urahara. Fast forward to the final day and I see another one, for once I don't think it's Philza and keep walking only to realize a moment from the wings that it is in fact a Philza costume.

I truly love it when a Minecraft youtuber bases their skin off an established character and they get famous. The fans of that youtuber then make up their own interpretation of the skin while at the same time the fans of the source material make up their interpretations of their character, _almost_ completely separated from either other. This parallel evolution of sorts is really cool.

There's also people that wear skins based on KZbinrs like Ranboo with Techno, and Schlatt with Tomska. Most KZbinrs coming from Legacy Console Edition, like Stampy, have skins from official minecraft skin packs, most of which are tied to characters from existing IPs.

If you ask him he’ll talk about the skin being from bleach. (Bleach is an acquired taste nowadays like you have to grow up with it, to genuinely like it. Since some of the first few seasons had Similar animations styles as original sailor moon, which was/is pixelated and over shadowed. However it’s fine in later seasons being less over shadowed.)
