Fulfill needs, rule the roost and be consistent but allow them to run and give them freedom

If dog is half crazy from not getting its needs fulfilled you can’t train away behavior issues.

I am dealing with the same situation with many clients. When the owner is not a LEADER it gets so frustrating. I have been trying to stress to clients, watch the body language. What is going on?? Thank you Larry for speaking about this particular issue. I will look for this area to let them RUN : ))

'How to live with your dog' has been the most effective lesson I've learned from you - structure and behaviour rules have really boosted my authority. I have a psychopath Boxer and an easy-going Cane Corso. They're out at the park or beach every day, we play/train and their dog-needs are satisfied. They have one-dog fights fought by the Boxer (thank goodness it's not the other way around). I supervise and step in before she loses it. My Boxer's been a hard case, at two, she's finally gaining control of herself.

Great Advice ~ My dogs run free all the time and are just dogs....then we train. Can't get a dog to listen with all that energy.

Love this advice...its a reminder for all of us to remember that its a healthy and positive thing to do to make them run, interact, play, and be dogs. We sometimes get caught up with all the rules of watching too many instructional videos that we become stiff and rigid and forget to be sensible and natural with our pets!❤❤❤

My 2 dogs fight once every few months but its usually pretty bad. Its resource gaurding related. Ever since i had my baby and 2nd dog hit puberty. But they live on a farm and theyre loose most of the day. Running and playing all day.... theyre both intact males though and everyone keeps saying to just neuter them. Idk what to do.

Hi I really enjoy your vids. I have learned so much over two years working with our two doodles with the e collar. We have put in a extreme amount of work rasing two well behaved dogs. I have one issue with one of them and no matter how much I work with him I can't seem to get him to stop. When he sees another dog he whines so loudly and consistently to get to the dog only to play not out of aggression at all, but it causes a huge scene and of course get the other owners well behaved dog acting up as well. Nothing pulls him put of it when he starts. Would using the e collar the moment he starts the behavior to shut this down be a good idea? I understand his excitement but would love to stop the big squeeling scene before he has a chance to Amp up? I'd really appreciate your feedback on this.
