I finished the rest of this video and was very saddened to hear the priest say that he was too busy to care or worry about Ferducia Suppilcan. The fact that we all say we are too busy to care is the very reason our leaders are getting away with the evila they are doing. We have claimed being too busy for too long. For a priest ro say that he is concerned about the salvation of souls, the concern of this document and where it could lead should be paramount. I, too, am concerned about the souls and salvation of my children, and therefore, I will fight back, in my own quiet way.

Thank you for this discussion from our priests and bishops who are shedding light on this matter. This only goes to show that our catholic clergy are so well educated in the teachings of the catholic church in canon law. When this document was published, I at first thought of the Old Testament when God gave the law to Moses. We the faithful read the Bible faithfully, so we know! It doesnt matter what era we live in, God's Laws can never be changed. Its true we are living in a complex society as a result of giving in to liberal laws and there is much suffering as a result among families and confusion. The solution would be to guide and direct people rather than applying a quick fix to resolve this gender confusion in society today. People state the argument 'Jesus ate with sinners', yes but Jesus is also second Person of the Holy Trinity. He only has the power to read all hearts and bring each person to open their hearts to His Mercy and forgiveness. On the other side of the spectrum, there are people forcing their agenda on our little children in schools, and threatening their parents if they interfere with the children who have gender confusion. Prayers for our priests to be strengthened.

This document needs to be read, as you’ve mentioned, within Vatican II, and all major documents written by St. JP II, the Great, Pope Benedict, Pope Francis (especially “The Joy of the Gospel” in 2013) and realize they are all attempts to help us shepherd our families, schools and parishes with authentic love, joy, peace and impactful evangelization. We are in a complex time. Germany needs our prayers and dynamic Evangelism. All of this is to serve the Deposit of Faith (The Word of God) which cannot be changed. Any formed Catholic knows no Pope can change the Sacrament of Marriage. It’s solid. Let’s focus on our families and areas of influence. Let’s learn from the Master Teacher and Healer, Jesus our Lord. I think meditating on the 4 Gospels Daily is more important now, than ever before.

"Nothing changed" is a lie. The CDF had provided clarity the year before FS. Fernandez and Francis published FS in order to destroy that clarity. Since that's clearly all the document did, we can safely infer that that's why it was published. Fr Cristino should not pretend otherwise, as if there are other reasonable explanations.

This entire document must be consigned to the fires of hell from.whence it came for having the words "same-sex couple" in a Church document -that embeds, normalises & validates it. Also for para 27, saying "father as God, mother as God" that is an occultic term; "Mother-Father God" is how they speak of their god. That's what the Sacrament of Confession is for - repentence, penance, amendment of sinful life. What is truly horrifying is the real horror of what is at stake for these souls who are in mortal sin and if they die unrepentant they merit hell. Loving our neighbour means of paramount concern is their soul and leading them to confession and amendment of life.

I really enjoyed the teaching of Fr. Chris Alar and the Marian priests. I thought he was the most clear on saying what the document says. I do not mean to offend but this priest does not explain it very clearly. I think a lot of priests are skirting around the real issue, which is that this document is extremely confusing, and confusion is not of God, but of Satan. I for one, will not be disregarding that this document appears to be evil. I have not turned to anger, but I am being very clear in my mind that something is very wrong in our blessed Church. I was never confirmed because of the religions beliefs about "the Pope". After searching i went with non specific Christianity (I like charismatic). My fiancé was raised Mormon. The legalism of these sorts of religions are similar. We go to heaven throught good works, there is a holy perfect (cult) leader and not enough emphasis on life through Christ's death alone. I probably didnt say that as I'd like, but to me thats the problem here. Thinking these men don't make mistakes.

My experience has been that God seldom gives us the things we ask for but he gives us what we need, which may even be the wisdom to see that what we are asking for is not good. I think that most Gay couples believe that their relationship is truly good and just are not able to see it as sin. To them it is natural to their love and how can love be a sin. At the same time they want to be close to God and the Church and they certainly don't want to go to hell, but they can't choose between what to them is their highest good and God. If they could, they might be Saints. They have no hope of salvation and stay away from Church because they feel they are already damned to hell if the Church is right. The blessing gives them some hope that God and the Church has not completely abandoned them. That in the eyes of God there is still something worth loving in them. God does not bless sin. Priests should pray for only what is good. They can pray that God will purify their relationship of all that is not good, or pray for God to give them wisdom and work his will through them. We have to remember that a blessing is not a Sacrament. We can bless anyone, regardless of what moral state they are in, even non-believers or notorious sinners. We bless, pray for, our enemies. We love the person not their sins. The priest can pray for enlightenment. The point is that we don't bless their behavior, we bless the person, praying for good will. We ask but God gives the grace and he is not going to give them what they want if it is not good for them. Their relationship may end or they may be drawn to celibacy and be given the grace to continue in deep friendship. But without grace and a conversion, they will not be able to give up their sins. They will remain blind. They need our prayers. It is possible for gay people to have a same sex relationship or deep friendship without sex, with the grace of God. Blind people cannot heal themselves or even cooperate with grace. They need a miracle from God, and the miracle may be a change of heart. Jesus revealed his love to sinners first, and that give became more precious than their sinful behavior. I don't have a problem with the document because I believe God can bring good from it.

Me being born in catholic house and raised by catholic parents is still a bit confused with this conversation... So taking vows of marriage in front of sanctuary fasley is that correct? I'm just concerned. I've meet so many people... I know people are in love with the same sex what 90% of Christian think is... It's the lust that makes them do it... But what I've seen is actually, genuinely true love between them.. for now if i ask them to seperate and leave eachother and get married with the opposite gender person because what they're doing is so sinful and forbidden. Actually if a spouse is homosexual, it is grounds for an annulment. It is considered an impediment to marriage if one spouse is gay. The catechism tells us that sodomy is a sin, but being a homosexual is not a sin; it is a disorder or impediment. Some are bon homosexual, some are made that way by society, and some choose that lifestyle because of sin and lust. Drugs and alcohol lead many into that lifestyle. The only option for any kind of same sex relationships for homosexuals is to be celibate, but without grace or prayer, that is impossible for them. They need our prayers. We all need prayer. This is not the only sin, in fact it is not even listed among the commandments, but it comes under the sixth Commandment as fornication and adultery. You may not have all the answers, but you show a lot of love and compassion, and the fact that you pray for everyone makes you very spiritually mature.

Father, thank you for sharing your faith, struggles, and love of all people, especially sinners. The Church is so divided today, and to the extreme. If you look at the social media, there are many Catholics who believe it is a sin to be homosexual, which is a lie. The behavior is a sin, not the sexual makeup of a person. They see gay persons as modern day lepers. There are many Catholics who believe that those who are divorced or in irregular marriages should be excommunicated. There are countries who give the death penalty for anyone who is found to be homosexual. There are Catholics who do not know the difference between Sacraments and blessings or Actual grace, or praying for our enemies. Jesus commanded us to love our enemies and to pray for them and all government leaders. This means Republicans should be praying for Biden and Democrats should be praying for Trump. Do you think that is happening? This document could have good results. It is a challenge to all priests to catechise gay couples and divorced and remarried couples. It is going out after the lost sheep and carrying them home. They can't yet walk on their own. Priests should tell gay couples who ask for a blessing that the Church has not changed her teaching. Marriage can only be between one man and one woman, among other restrictions. They should tell them they cannot bless their sexual behavior. We were all created for relationship, "it is not good that man should be alone." But we were not created for sin. So, the Priest can pray that God's will will be done for them, and to help them help each other to glorify God, and draw closer to God. Nothing is impossible for God. God may lead them to end their relationship, or he may give them the desire and gift of celibacy. The same for divorced and remarried couples. There are various reasons why they cannot leave their present spouse. They may not really understand what an annulment is or that it may be a possibility for them. They may be able, with God's grace, to live together in a celibate relationship. They need to know this, to be given some hope of reconciliation with the Church. There are many Catholics who think sodomy is ok between heterosexual married couples but a sin for people of the same sex. We also have to be prepared that there will always be abuses to any Church document, just as there is with Scripture, just as there was with Jesus. Jesus was crucified because of what he believed and taught. He got rid of most of the laws and traditions of the Jews because they served their purpose or were never really eternal, or were abuses or man-made rules -- like healing on the Sabbath. I pray for you and all our priests, that God will give them wisdom to know how to pray and what to pray for. Pope Francis is raking in the sinners and it is up to the priests to clean them up. It will be a good thing if these people come asking for a blessing. They are at least opening their heart to God again. Priests will have to get over their fear of speaking the truth in love and not be afraid of offending them by teaching them. All people on the fringe, all people who are lost are really hungry for God. They need divine love.

In most cases they said that it would not be applicable to their culture or circumstance, which was their authority to do - and the Vatican blessed their decisions. Don't look for disobedience where there is none. What you did was not just "oversimplify it". You bore false witness against what these bishops did by accusing them of claiming there was some hidden meaning in the document. You applied a hidden meaning to what these bishops said as they did not say so themselves.

In order to receive any of the Sacraments, we must first repent, be in a state of grace. This is because the Sacraments give us Sanctifying Grace--they affect our soul and make us holy. So, those who are living in a state of mortal sin cannot receive the Sacraments without repenting first. Blessings do not require anyone to repent. We can bless animals, houses, atheists, non-believers, our enemies, countries, etc. Some blessings can only be given by a priest because they represent the whole Church. But anyone can bless others. All blessings come from God not us. Blessing others is the same as praying for them. We are asking God to give them some good gift or favor, such as praying for their healing; any prayer of good will. This is called Actual Grace coming from God. God pours out his gifts on good people as well as bad. Most of the time when we pray to God, he does not give us what we ask for but what we need, because what we ask for may not be good for us. What he gives us may be the wisdom to recognize that what we asked for is not good for us. If anyone needs to be in a state of grace, it should be the one who is doing the blessing or praying. The prayers of the holy ones are very powerful. They are a channel of grace but the grace comes from God. Actually, when someone wants or plans to commit suicide, it is a good thing if they ask for a blessing or prayer. Words seldom do anything but God works through blessings and prayers. It may save their life and bring them to their senses. They may not have the faith to be able to ask God to stop them or give them a reason not to take their life, but they may be able to ask someone else to pray for them. That may be their last hope.

Sorry guys, but I'm very disappointed in the tone of this interview. Fr Terrene of the Friars of the Immaculate put it best when he said that if you don't understand something that the magisterium has done and are incapable of discerning it then go to learn from someone who is capable or else don't comment on it. You basically said that you can't discern what it meant and therefore will say nothing. Why is that problematic? Because it is impossible to say nothing. We speak by our very actions and questions. By saying that the document makes no sense to you you have accused the document of being nonsensical in your eyes. Why was the document put out? It was in response to the German priests who needed protection from some of the corrupt German bishops. These bishops were asking them to do ceremonies that the Church did not permit. The document clarified what is and is not allowed and gave these German priests a refuge. Likewise, you laughed at the alleged lack of response to the dubias. All of the dubias have been responded to several times. The Vatican has also reformed the way it responds to questions by putting Cardinal Fernandez in charge of it. He has been working tirelessly to respond to many issues - including the clarifications requested on this very document being discussed. I am happy that you guys want to have great conversations where intriguing questions are asked. Just remember that asking questions does not guarantee that there are no accusations hidden within. We should be clear with our words. It is not good for a Catholic priest to laugh at a magisterial document even if he doesn't understand it.

Fr. Cristino is anything but confused about FS. Two same sex people ostensibly in some kind living together situation come forth together for individual blessings, why? Why can't they approach a priest for a blessing individually like all the rest of us sinners? If a married man brings his mistress to a priest and asks for a blessing so (quoting from FS) “that they may be freed from their imperfections and frailties” does that seem appropriate to you? Similarly in this scenario, the “context” of the sin with which they both struggle is highly apparent. We must be realistic and face the possibility that the husband and his mistress leave the blessing with their “arrangement” or “irregular situation” being at least, tolerated if not somewhat legitimized. Let sinners ask for a blessing as individuals, period!

FS must be read in the context of as a rebuke of the German Bishops' Synod. It refutes their idea that they can create liturgical blessings for SSA unions amongst other things. It was a soft way of addressing them without pushing them further towards schism. Thats why it DOESNT change anything for those like the Father here. The same-sex couple ‘blessing’ causes a number of questions. Why is it couple blessing if “People are blessed; not the union”? What is a homosexual couple seeking by asking for a blessing? What is the Church offering in response? What is the Holy Spirit called for and what is exactly being blessed? What is a spiritual purpose of such a ‘blessing’ and what sort of a particular help it intends to provide? Love and acceptance can make miracles of soul transformation, and Pope Francis' vision on the same-sex unions seems to be about love and acceptance. Yet, the same-sex couple blessing would make sense if the Church dumps viewing the same-sex relationship per ser as a sin. Without that, such a 'blessing' appears conflicting and self-contradictory. The entire issue of the homosexuality as such and the sin does not look straightforward at all. For example, some people refer to Leviticus 20:13: "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them". Does this mean that about 4% of human population should be now "put to death"? Would it be a proclaimed Christian way of love and acceptance? Would it be compatible with the words of our Lord: "Let He Who Is Without Sin Cast the First Stone" (John 8:7)? Apostle Paul in 1 Cor 6:9,10 was talking specifically about "men who have sex with men" with the intention to just satisfy their lust, but said nothing about homosexuality as such. The Holy Scripture condemns sexual lust in all its appearances - ‘traditional’ and ‘pervert’, but says nothing at all specifically about homosexuality and same sex people, who want to live together in love and faith. Nevertheless, this unlikely defends the incompatibility of the same-sex couple blessing with the current Church doctrines and policies. Faithfully yours, bishop Vincent Berg.

Your comment is the much used one of deflection and manipulation. Anyone living an authentic Catholic Christian life has no hatred for anyone else, no matter their sins. In love they also will not condone/accept another's sin weakness but still love them as a created child of God. I would also expect to be treated or corrected in like manner for my own weaknesses, sins. I would also want another to, in a loving and respectful manner want another fellow Catholic Christian, to help guide me towards repentance and the Sacrament of Confession. Us who live this way see right through your statement and know it is completely false. And yes, I've got family members who struggle with this weakness, and know my stance. They know why I didn't attend their fake weddings, or give any kind of support for the lifestyle they've chosen. We can still be around each other and they can respect me enough to not be displaying public affections towards each other. Yes, I still love them. Have a grateful day🙏

The document is very clear, as Pope Francis teaches that marriage is for man and woman alone, to be open to both love and life and that no other sexual union outside of this, gay OR straight, can be blessed by God!
