Glad you enjoyed it. Sometimes I can get a little bit nerdy, breaking out the chronograph for the bow. It's some overlap from my rifle/reloading interests. But the 30# does pretty good at a 32" draw length. Probably more like 40# at my draw.

Nice to see someone with a 30+” draw length😅showing what some of these, rather short, bows can do it at longer draws. I shoot my trad bows, granted they are long enough and depending on the bow design, anywhere from 30 to 32” and I’ve gotten very similar bow speeds through my chronograph, but I must say that there’s far more going on, technically, than merely having a long draw to achieve optimum arrow velocity. Can you please mention-if you have a bow scale-the actual draw weight at your draw length. Awesome content

Thanks for the comment. I need to get a scale to measure draw weight on my fingers. i'm also curious what the actual amount is. Generally I go with 2.5 lbs per inch, past 28, and assume the 28" draw weight in relatively close. It seems the longer stroke is a real factor, in addition to the increased poundage at longer draw lengths.

@@shanepitzer4126 The scale, like a good chronograph, will let you know what’s really going on, as far as weight, and you won’t be guessing or relying on what’s written on the bow, which I have found-in many cases-to be incorrect by as much as 5# And, after shooting many setups, I’m no longer convinced draw length automatically increases performance as some bows can’t be drawn past a certain length and others, if they can be drawn further, are not in what can be called…optimal draw length, but I’m rambling here😅. A scale is a good choice👍

you are comparing velocity at different arrow wts but without knowing the bow wt at your draw length the fact that they are "30 lb limbs" is meaningless. I would recommend investing in a bow scale.
