I always feel like a terrible player when I use dragonblade. Like when I try to go after Juno and she just hovers backwards out of reach, I feel like a kid trying to reach the cookie jar for 6s before I go back to my team in shame with zero kills, and Juno is left with 5hp since blade doesn't 2 hit 225s.

You’re not timing your ult correctly. Same thing could be said bout most supports. You gotta wait out cooldowns or choose different targets. Moira with fade, immo with bap, tp with kiri, trans with zen, beat, etc. I find it easier to use blade as a finisher on a kill rather than to start a fight with it while everyone still has their cooldowns.

A lot of ults are easy to escape such as hanzo and most dps. It's what creates the skill gap between a gold dps and a GM dps.

Imo i think sojourn needs a new ultimate or a rework to it. Her ult is just her doing her normal stuff faster. she already can charge her rail super fast in general. It doesnt change her optimal ttk at all. You have to be cracked at the hero for the small advantage it would give you over bodyshotting into rail HS. It doesnt have the feeling of soldier aimbot or cass highnoon which can completely zone an area. It doesnt have any real utility. The power of her ult is completely determined by the power of her rail and i think there should be a little seperation there.

You’re using blade wrong. You’re not supposed to try to kill people with it. The correct way to use dragonblade is when you’re tired of actually trying to win, so you pick Genji and use blade to throw the game because it’s a wasted Ult spot on your team that could be being used for any actual good hero. So to use blade effectively, you’re meant to die and kill nobody and throw the game for your team :) the next step is picking another hero and stop throwing

Bapiste ult should not be A. It's not like a lot of other ults, especially support, where you can just pop it and get instant value. There's also a lot of ways to counter it especially with the current speed and zoning options. It's just a better version of McCree's ult where all you really do is zone out the enemy unless you have impeccable positioning and timing. It's not bad, but there's no way I can see it as that good and most, if not all, of the other support ults get better value in a match overall. I think Kiriko ult is still better than Orbital as well. Death blossom is the sole reason why I don't think Reaper is not as meta/near meta as people seem to think he is. Even if you get 1 kill, you're left wide open since you cannot cancel his ult whatsoever so it's not uncommon to just die after getting a kill unless you have cover or your team helps you out. It's almost better to hold your ultimate unless you absolutely have to trade. At least with Genji blade if you can secure a kill you can get out, and if you can't get a kill you can usually get out support ults and keep your life, same with almost every other offensive ult. If you use blossom and the enemy gets a support ult in time, you're dead. If anything I would put Blossom, Blade, and Dragon at D tier as the bottom 3 ults.

I'm pretty sure the optimal way to use Bap's ult is to kill one person out of position with it or use it to take a 1v1. It's pretty easy to get value out of it if you're only using it selfishly to secure a kill.

Some people were telling me, that my comparison of Dragon blade damage and kunai headshot damage is stupid. Bruh, you can spam that shit for free down mid every half a second, with no cooldown, from the other end of the map, when with the blade, you get to slap your pool noodle on people for the whole SIX SECONDS every 1.5-3 minutes. And people don't usually use their ultimates to counter Kiri headshotting left and right, but when Genji ults, everybody knows where you are, everybody uses their ultimates. In no fucking way should a support be able to consistently deal more damage, than a FUCKING DPS ULTIMATE. It's so much easier to get a tripple kill running down mid with Kiri, than with Genji. And people defend Kiri, saying "well her win % is lower than Juno", ffs her kit is stupid and annoying to play against. She should be 15% win rate for all I care.

The reason why it looks so dumb is because it is always about Kiri. Dude, things like Hanzo's headshot, power punch, Ashe's headshot, Widow's headshot, and Zen's headshot could be "more threatening" than blade damage with that logic. There is something wrong with it, blade deserves to be way better but the comparison is always bad faith. @@TomMorello725 Ashe and Widow are both DPS, Zen has no movement abilities, Doom is a tank with high mobility, and a low healthpool (for a tank), so he kinda needs his damage. I take Kiri as an example, because she is a support, who has it all - damage, mobility, self-sustain and a small hitbox. Other good examples would be Bap and Illari, tho they can't get away from you as easy as Kiri can. It took them almost 2 years to finally nerf at least her HP (granted they couldn't really do it with 200hp prior to season 9) and suzu, meanwhile Genji is just left in the dust since OW1.

Anihilation is better than Primal for stalling if you use it correctly. You can be blocking with Nemesis for 8 seconds, pop your ult right before Nemesis finishes (refreshing your armor and getting a free Nemesis for between 3 and 20 seconds), keep blocking and then when it finishes, you have Nemesis again (refreshing armor if timed right) to turtle for a further 8 seconds. You can turtle down in points for 19 seconds if the enemy team avoids Anihilation and if they don't, you can stall for up to 36 seconds.

As a huge support main I have to disagree with some of the placements. Bap ult should not be as high and honestly should be lower than Moira ult. The explanation you gave for Visor can also be used on Bap ult due to hyper mobility. On top of that you can't instant value or not as much value out of the ult. Honestly I'd swap Moira's ult into A tier, put Lucio's ult in A tier, and put Bap's ult into B tier.

Highkey i feel like they should make tree of life have at least 2-3 seconds of invincibility (the tree itself being the thing invincible to clarify, I do not want it to grant invincibility lmfao). It being breakable is fine but it also getting instapopped just feels like it can't be used defensively (which is kinda what it is supposed to be used for). I'd say more health but then it would feel like its impossible to kill on most heroes (which it already kinda is not worth breaking if you got something like ashe / cassidy dps lineup), so invincibility for 2-3 seconds just gives it that extra bit of longevity without making it worse from a TTK perspective

As a Genji player, the characters that annoy me most are Tracer: She just does what Genji does but better in every way except vertical mobility and poke. But who needs poke on a dive character. Sombra: She has just replaced Genjis role, she has the vertical mobility to kill Widows on Kings's Row and maps like that where Tracer struggles. Brigitte: Why can't they just nerf her, I am so confused why bash goes through deflect, or why whip shot just flies Genji so far that he can't make it to her. Personal hot take: Kiri's suzu shouldn't cleanse ultimate abilities effects. Like carnage, blizzard. It should ultimate for ultimate, like sound barrier counters those ult. It's just seems fair. There is no reason for suzu to counter blizzard but not counter shatter. Same thing for sombra. I HATE SOMBRA WITH ALL OF MY HEART, but there is no reason for her to not counter tree of life with her ultimate.

Artillery mode can actually get kills of you hit with it go hit a tracer 5 to 6 times with blade and watch her get one second of mercy heals to get rid of all your pressure his ult is actually worse than his normal shuriken

@@Wizardbeard91 that’s the key part “IF” you hit the artillery. More often than not enemies will just walk out of my ult no abilities, no healing, no nun needed. And you talk about tracer I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tracer die to artillery unless they were CCed in some way, so I’m not gonna feel bad that genji can’t 1/2 slash her😂. Genuinely every complaint genji mains have towards blade applies to bastion mains but worse, you say it doesn’t deal damage when u hit whereas ours deal damage but never hit, you say they took away what used to be one of the coolest ults and left you with trash… did you see/play Configuration Tank? You say he’s significantly better if he just acts like his ult doesn’t exist, bastion ult takes him from one of the highest DPS characters to someone using a worse version of an ult only used for escape. Also he counters my character so f em

@@ExclusiveExcellence you also have to remember artillery is a top notch zoning tool that can happen from anywhere on the map genji literally has to feed to try to get value from his ult and it does shit damage and its countered by almost every ability in the game not ultimates abilities you will almost always get more value from bastion ult

My main since ow1 first came our in 2016 has always been genji. Ive been called a weeb for nearly a decade now but something about his playstyle, abilities, skins etc. Really catered to me. I remember 8 second dragonblade and popping off in qp occasionally (even when it was "broken" it was still really hard to use). Ill never forgive blizzard for how they butchered him. Hes always been popular but that doesnt mean hes a good pick or even an average one. He just sucks and its way easier to perform the same on hitscan or a character like pharah. Season 1 of ow2 was the last time he was even close to the top of the meta. For being one of the hardest characters to play, i think he should always be among the top characters. Instead they nerfed him for years only to forget about him, despite every genji player begging for any buff at all. Just really sad, one of countless reasons ow2 is a massive disappointment

Blade is just a bait for cooldowns and ults. I pop blade and then get 3 ults out (ok most times its 1 or 2 but still) and also like 3 cooldowns. It's not even good with nano since you can't one shot combo anymore.

I think what helps it is being (I think) the fastest charging ult in the game, if you’re a good tracer it’s like having pulse bomb on a cooldown. you don’t even necessarily have to go for kills with it, it’s just some consistent damage throughout the match

There is no way Terra Surge is S, it needs too much set up, it can be cancelled easily and most heroes can just teleport out of it nowadays.. I would put it at B in BEST CASE SCENARIO, because if you catch a team without escape cooldown it can still have massive potential to wipe a fight and still one shots more immobile supports. EDIT: Nevermind, I see you confused it with Orbital Ray xD. To be fair, I don't recognize a lot of the ults by their image either..
