Yeah, I main Ramattra and my biggest tip for people playing against him is just break LOS on his ult. Not just movement abilities, but consider walls and barriers, too! Having no enemies in LOS for 1 second eats a THIRD of his total potential ult time, it's way more impactful than trying to fight through a 20sec Nemesis w/ AoE damage.

This is probably difficult to account for but what about ease of use? I fully agree Primal Rage is better than Dva Bomb, but Primal Rage is the most skill-demanding ult (maybe ability) in the entire game, so while it can be pretty impactful it's worthless if you can't juggle or aim your jumps well.

Higher skill ceiling with higher rewards makes it overall a better ult. Spamming Winston beach volleyball has made me alot better at jumps and juggling and you can always work on it. Also imo tracer pulse is harder than primal

I feel like instead of a Tier list, this should've been put on a graph; with a "Power" axis and a "Reliability" axis. This might have made it easier to rate and differentiate stuff like Widow (high reliability, low power) vs Cassady (high power, low reliability). And ultimates with high power AND reliability (Ana) would've still been clear winners

Ana's Ultimate is only valuable if you give it to someone who knows what they're doing. In a Gold lobby it's going to be pretty useless most of the time. These lists are always for top tier players even when they pretend not to be. My advice as an average players (aka I do other things with my time) is to just figure out who one your team is way up on damage and eliminations and use it when they go to engage. That'll get the most value, especially in lobbies with no communication.

@@superawesomeninja2 Higher elos are a lot more coordinated and work together far better as a team. There's a lot more to consider in my opinion. For instance, if you have a Genji and you've already planned for him to flank and attack the backline by communicating ahead of time, definitely use it when he blades. In low elo lobbies the odds of having any of that strategy planned ahead of time is slim to none and slim's out of town. On the off chance a strat like that is can be planned then great. Anyway, I just took the time to say this when you know this already, you were just being a smug keyboard jockey gamer that doesn't touch grass for weeks at a time.

It's good for sure and a top tier Tank Ult. It's the shield that's so beneficial; no support goes in to save a teammate because they end up dying too. Rule number one as a support is don't die. That said all Tank Ults are either Top Tier or very good. A good D Va bomb can essentially end a fight, getting 3 or 4 kills instantly. Sigma I can get two kills at least very consistently. Rammattra you need an ability to avoid usually or you're stuck. After that even the other Tanks have good, it not Top Tier, Ultimates. Roadhog, Winston, Wrecking Ball and Zarya all have great crowd control Ultimates that still can get multiple kills (I love using Roadhogs Ultimate to knock a whole team off the map... they just fly). Most people know how to avoid Reinhardts Ultimate by now but it can still work very well if timed right. And you can argue Junker Queen's Ultimate is Top Tier in the right hands if you bait out a few enemy abilities first.

For average and below tiers it's the Junkrat tire that is crushing. You'll be in a very close game most of the time, hard fought and very sweaty, when a tire comes in and takes out three or four people at once. That's the difference in close matches. The somewhat and potentially impactful tiers have some brutal ultimates in them like Soldier, Junkrat, Genji, sometimes Mei, sometimes Reaper and D Va where when done right the fight is just over.

The guys who play Junkrat all the time know how to use it efficiently and it's devastating. They should consider giving it a visible icon like the D Va Bomb, then maybe up the health to 150 or something so it's not super easy to destroy.

Echos ult is not nearly that good anymore. I’d say she’s only able to get the duplicates ultimate like 20% of the time, maybe less (unless she duplicates hog or someone that can get a ton of ult charge really fast). Also she gets focused so hard when she uses it because the other team knows she’s about to use an ultimate. Most of the time her ultimate is only used for the extra life / get out of jail free.

Moira ult is the worst support ult in the game imo, If you want to do damage and heal at the same time lifeweaver tree is better for that as the nettles have better damage than moira ult, And it can be cancelled by loads of abilities, Sleep dart, Doom charge punch, Brig ult, I think sombra does don't remember though, Reinhardt charge, Sigma boulder, And the utility is barely there, Kiri ult makes the entire team faster and pump out more damage, Mercy ult makes the entire team stronger and makes her harder to hit, Zen ult has the best healing rate in the game, Ana makes a teamate stronger, Brig ult cancells tons of abilities while providing overhealth (Reaper ult, queen axe, queen ult, cassidy ult, sombra ult, moira ult to name a few) Already mentioned weaver ult, Baltiste is good for buffing team damage or heals, Illari ult is almost as bad but not as bad as moira as it's not cancelled as easily, Moira's ult damage is barely a concern to me if I'm on the enemy team and the healing isn't great, laslty it's pretty quick, like it runs out pretty quickly

Its probably because cage fight can actually get Mauga himself killed a lot of the time, can be bypassed or ignored, and is mainly used for killing just one target. Although it does get great value if you combo it with other teammate’s ults.

Pulse bomb is niche right now because of how many things deny it. As soon as you stick a pulse it gets suzued, immorted, gripped, bubbled etc. And sure you force impactful abilities, but in the case of suzu or bubbles they are just up again in a few seconds.

I honestly think the way the categories are called are messing up the overall ranking a lot. Like surely most ults are "potentially impactful", that's the point of an ult. I think I've never disagreed more with an overall ranking, these don't feel like they get seriously considered but are mostly ranked out of general memories of some random game from 6 years ago. Like how is Torb ult so high up, I think I've never seen it actually get a kill in my entire life outside of a combo, and it's much worse at crowded control than most sightline ults, and that include deadeye.

The fact that Molten core is so high up when Infra-sight is so low makes absolutely zero sense. First of all, let's be honest, no one is getting killed or even severely damaged by molten core outside of very specific situations involving combo ults. The vaste majority of time, the only value molten core gets is purely controlling an area, and even then it's really not good at it, not lasting long enough or covering a big enough area to do its job effectively. Even considering that someone gets caught in it, it still has quite a mediocre damage output, even against armor and most heroes have cool-downs to easily walk out of it alive. Sure it can block out chokes, so can abilities that are on a 10 sec cool-down, and will generally do it in a more consistent or impactful manner. I think molten core might be the only ult in the game that could easily be just a random cool-down and not massively break the game. Now let's take a fair look at infra-sight. Sure, it's probably the least flashy or even noticeable ult in the game. But what it does in combination with widowmaker is just extremely good, consistent value. Let's get the obvious one out of the way, yes it allows you to get kills easiers by spotting targets you would have missed otherwise. But even without getting any kills, it's an extremely oppressive ult that can basically control half the map and prevent your enemy from even setting a foot inside of one of your sightline. Rather than blocking out a chock with Torb's ult, with actually zero threat and for a duration you barely notice, widow can threaten an easy one shot in the entire map, and it last so long that most people will even forget it's still up, easily giving you free kill opportunities (probably part of the reason why people think it's bad). But then you also have to factor in how much the information given help your team by showing them the available flanking routes, while completely negating the opponent's flanking opportunities. So not only is it by far the best area controlling ult and a good threat in its own right, but it also just massively unable your team while preventing a lot of plays from your opponent. And this while lasting 2-3 times the amount of most other ultimates in the game. Widow is the best example of invisible value, it might seem completely unimpactful but thinking about it for two seconds makes you realise it actually completely outclasses some other ults.

wrong. its 300 A F K H heals, rammatra and winston ult is a heal ult that is impactfull, your heal can range from 0-300, depending on how long you leave your team without a tank, the ult costs 1/6 more "its THE WORST ONE IN THE GAME. landding is way to slow, control in ult is way too slow, "slower than bastion ult" wich is 3 x better. and does more dmg and aoe dmg. and his ult dosnt even full heal, as said its AFK heals, for 5 sec you are not holding space, not tanking, not distractiog enemy supports,. its a joke of a "ult AND A SLAP IN THE FACE TO DOOM PLAYERS@@wever4873 and the ult does 100 dmg on landing, less than orisa javeli. its a fucking joke ult

I disagree with dva, i know in mid game is easy to dodge but when i think of the phrase game changing i cant think of a better ult than diva’s, why? Welp i think game changing applies in the most critical moments which is obviously “overtime “ when you cant leave the area or cargo/robot alone so utilizing divas ult is almost a guaranteed win. so apparently for bastion ppl say that bastion is "good," and " op " let me recap a bit he loose is turret abillty on a no cd and its now a 12sec cd is turret now heal 40% less dmg and have 10%more spread is recon mode now have a 50% less firerate he lost is heal and got a meh grenade instead he got the worst ultimate in the game and is ult charge stay the same even if it took him twice the time that is old one since he dont heal and deal less dmg but sure lets nerf bastion bc tank have skill issue and cant switch when nececary

As a tank main, I'd take Doomfist's ult over Ball's ult any day of the week. Especially on their respective heroes. Doom is already better, but Ball would still benefit from Doom's ult more than his own. Minefield is probably the worst Tank ult in the game right now. It's way too easy to avoid, escape from or just simply to destroy.

brig in emp feels so screwed now with the emp buff. cant heal team, literally just a melee practice range bot for 3 seconds with a similar hitbox too. also sym wall deserves to be in the top 2 tiers. the vertical placement where sym dances between it isn't as impactful as waiting for enemies to step up a bit and blocking off their backliners. It's probably the best dps ult if you ignore ult combos/mercy pockets

Even as an ashe main, i perfectly agree with the B.O.B placement, but i will say, youll rarely put BOB out alone, you should put bob out in team fights to either waste cooldowns for the enemies, or if they ignore him, do a ton of dps, on top of viper and dynamite.

Purples can ruin it, but it's basically a get out of jail free card that you can share with your team for things like mauga ult, zarya ult, all the goodies. Plus it can be really oppressive if your team plays aggressively with it

I think Bob is Impactful. Extra body w/ Tank HP, point contest, consistent extra dps. He can be shut down with hack and sleep, but you can sleep winston and you can invalidate/eat grav. Your counter-argument was just counter play, but that's every ult.

Tire should be much higher as it's one of the rare ult that always guarantees a kill if used well, if it's not super telegraphed you will actually not have the time to destroy it. Symm wall is an incredible ult, sure it may not be flashy but it basically unables your whole team while rendering the entire enemy team's pressure useless if used properly, it just completely throw off the pressure balance in a team fight. I'm honestly baffled that Torb ult is rated in anyway, I think I've never seen it ever confirm a kill in a serious setting. It's not even good at area denying since it doesn't cover enough terrain or last long enough to deny an area better than just controlling a sightline (and in that regard it doesn't even stand the comparison with widow's ult). It's in my opinion the worst ult in the game tied with tac visor, AKA the ult that does nothing if you are really good on soldier, but only does nothing for 6 sec.

Interesting tierlist I disagree with some of these also your reasoning as of why seem very one-sided: primal too high, yes it can be useful but its a hard ult to utilize and it can either clutch or just make winston feed a lot of ultcharge. Grav used to be a teamfight winning ult but thats years ago, now there are too many abilities(defensive ults) to counter it even non-ult cooldown bound stuff like platform/grab/suzu/lamp etc, weakens Grav a lot. You only talk about "what if you grav enemy blading genji" but not about genji having teammates with more than 2 braincells. Tbh not a good list.

Nah Sombra easily deletes cage with emp, LW can grip a teammate out of cage and sym can tele her whole team out. Ram on the other hand instantly gains 225 armor, a move speed increase, high dot in a very large radius that somehow fools los at times, and just clutters the area with bright colors. Add speed boost and/or nano and he can easily run your team over

The thing i like about wrecking balls ult is that it can go from useless to game changing if used adequately, remember one comp game that whenever we were getting overtaken i just dropped minefields and all of them were impactful enough to win all those teamfights, i even got a 4k between those lol

Hanzo's whole thing is he's supposed to be a silent assassin, yeah you can apply pressure with spam and make space with Dragonstrike, but more than 70% of the time you don't want to be seen, reason why out of all the dps Hanzo has the most silent footsteps, if you pop Dragon to get a kill at more than 8m away you're gonna fail, accept that is a high damage ult but incredibly slow, take all the factors in, did their Zen pop ult yet? Did their Kiri use cleanse? Dropping it from situational to niche shows the understanding people have on it, firing it from a blind spot or right behind them is the optimal use if you want kills or without a grav combo, it is a great space making tool for push though 😂

People saying illari don't get kills I've got a lot of triple and even a quintuple kill ..... so yeah with other ults it's powerful if done correctly don't under estimate a good illari player lol
