On a 2-Stroke the pipe is the “turbo”. Get a expansion chamber pipe. Different sizes offer different power bands where the exhaust pipe “hits” Expansion chambers allow some of the fuel mixture to enter back into the engine supplying a turbocharging effect. You’ll have to up jet your carb with a expansion chamber pipe. There’s a lot of info and I interesting stuff you can do with a 2-stroke vs a 4 stroke.

He NEEDS a spindle 3rd bearing kit. Absolutely required for Goped sport to support adult weight. A Go kart!? Sweet deal. Not a beginner set up. Looks like a modified class kart. Need experience/license before racing in mods. Karts can be transported on roof racks in Japan.

If you haven't seen Dave's Discount Motors online, they're your one stop shop for GoPed upgrades. Complete engines, pipes, high compression head kits, ported heads, the works. That looks like a pretty dated model, probably a G2D motor. The GP260/290's with a pipe will literally throw you off with how much power they have.

@DcyphR Great and reliable motor with a good tune on the carb (especially the high speed screw). They rev great, usually ~16krpm or so depending on gearing, just watch out for downhill overrev and if you're decelerating downhill for a long time blip that throttle to keep oil in the bearings 🙂

That's a Tkm kart Sam, old school air cooled motor, I'd you want to get Into karts look for a rotax class one, it uses an aprillia rs125 liquid cooled motor .......very tunable and will top 160kmh easily !!!!!

that loose bit of metal looks like it was meant to secure the cables/hoses to keep them from moving around and wearing holes through them, if the cables were in it, it would probably be tight.

That metal hinge is actually the lock for the handle when its folded up and stored. Also it alows you to carry it like a briefcase when folded and locked up.

I’d say the biggest problem with the go kart is no clutch. Use to race them at the track as a kid. Can’t remember exactly but when we use to race there were clubman and crewman engines

The go cart is a Yamaha KT100, it's hard to tell on camera if it's a KT100J or KT100SE which is the bigger version. It's definitely missing drive sprocket,chain,chain guard and cables.

5:43 that's a 2 stroke engine 100cc without clutch! As I remember here in greece the race category which run this engine was formula super A. Same as button, Alonso, janiberti nicolas and other f1 drivers at junior ages.

Lol the the go ped content reminds me of me almost 20 years ago. I was deep into peds. Fully build engines with single compression rings for less friction, decked, ported and polished head🤣🤣🤣🛴💨(still have one sealed up in a bag put away ).. Remove that silicon coupler that sends exhaust through the frame. That just makes an oily mess coming out that hole and restricts the exhaust. The big bore carb will need a more free flowing exhaust anyway.. the clutch I'm not so sure is going to work for ya. Love your content, been watching for bout a year now but don't know anything about drifting 🤣🤣🤦

The kart is an arrow AX-8, the engines where KT100S and an iame fitted, $1000 is cheep, but very old technology, is several generations old now.

Only thing I've upgraded is my carburetor to the adjustable carb. I love that the scooter is dual belt drive vs a loud and frustrating chain setup.

I know it's been awhile maybe a year, but the GoPed that you have there is the original GoPed released to this world, it's worth way more in its current condition then if you put $1,000 of Parts on it. I raced GoPeds with my son for about 7 years, we would die to get those tires and rims, they do not fit on the updated GoPeds too small of an axel. They're not very safe to go fast on but they make great putt-putts. We use them as our pit bikes.

That hook on the rear fender hooks to the hole in the handlebars so when you fold it up you can carry it with a handle and not have to walk around holding it by the deck

That little hook thing by the go ped motor is a hook to hold the handle bars when it’s folded up but I think your missing the part on the bars

mate we use to ride these in the 90s replace the air filter with a k&n mini airfilter i think we used the mini oil breather....also score the spindle in a diamond pattern, youll thank me in the rain.

It’s an alcohol shifter cart I’m 6,6 and I fit but they are prolly gas /alcohol engines that come with it. Very common for them to be alcohol fuel sourced because they make decent power but they get beat on hard if it comes with two more there extras and the one on it is spent

Should be 2 screws on the carb . One for low and one for high rpm. Start the scooter, pick the rear tire up off the ground turn the throttle wide open and adjust the high rpm screw on the carburetor until you hit max rpm then back it off about 1/8th of a turn. Then the carb should be set

You would need a small tank for boost to build up in because there is only one combustion cycle and when exhaust would spin the turbo the boost would have no were to go

You should try a Goped GSR 46 air tire ped instead. They're chain driven with a 460cc engine and can run 50mph with correct gearing.

if you're interested in one of these GoPed like scooters that actually has a clutch on it may I recommend the blade Z scooters. I had one I bought from a pawn shop for $150 and after replacing the belt I could get that thing up to 33 mph on level ground well over 40 downhill. The clutch is super smooth on it and it's a rubber belt drive system so no excessive noise or vibration.

Those kart engines look like 3 Parilla KA100s and a Yamaha KT100. Those engines are highly tunable despite being outdated tech, but that chassis is way too old and small for you to be worth bringing back to life. Please go film a kart event sometime!

You can put a turbo on a 2-stroke engine but you need a couple things first being an expansion chamber tank three times the size of the engine volumetric air quantity in the intake between the turbo and the engine itself.

kart chassis is very old in the uk we have a classic kart class .100cc engines rev to18..22 thou so need full rod piston every 3hrs good fun very fast but hard work ?

Whats the size of the engine on the scooter? All my 2 stroke gardening eqipment has a 1:50 mix, or 2%. And thats the same for my 25cc, 30cc and 37cc stuff. The only things i have seen that ever took 1:25 mix were old school 140cc 2 stroke lawn mowers. Too much oil in the mix will hurt performance, but not the motor. 2 strokes have a sacrificial oiling system. Not enough oil in the mix can deffinately hurt the engine even if it appears to be running 'good'. There should be a marking somewhere, like the air filter plastic cover or even fuel cap that says the recommended mix.
