The singularly most talented person who ever lived!! Sammy Davis Jr!!

During the days when you could see and feel that talent was truly real. Sammy was absolutely, unequivocally, extraordinarily, magnificently undeniably talented. I just love it!

Sammy to this very day, has no peer! He is in my estimation, simply stated, the greatest all around entertainer that ever lived. He could sing, dance, act, impersonate, was a great comedian, could work a gun, played multiple instruments including piana, trumpet, drums & vibes, and was a great television host & theatrical, live stage actor, etc! He is the greatest!

Rudolf Trost I was being funny. I know better than that 👍

It sounded that way, but my well-meant comments ave been under serious troll-attacks as of lately. And I'm not one to give in to such people. I should have known that nobody can be serious and compare Sammy with Beyonce. Sorry for the remark about the bridge, but in MY OPINION that's where trolls should live, sheltered from the rest of the world.

Today December 8, would have been Sammy's 90th Birthday! I for one would like to thank his once presence for help taming mankind with his gift and talent. When he left, he took showbiz with him.

When Sammy sings I cry every single time if we only had Entertainment like this today, how much more beautiful would the world be? If not for our African American talent this country and world would be asleep and forget the word talent. the most beautiful array of talent ever put together on one planet. I would give my right arm to go back to the 500 club and spend an evening with Sammy Davis Jr and the Rat Pack. those who have never had the joy of listening to good clean brilliant talent must listen to the above before they leave the earth and hope when they do they are all up there entertaining us. you don't have to be my age to enjoy real solid talent.
@antoniodelrio3578 жыл бұрын
I agree with you 100 %. born in 88 but would give everything to see and experience life as it once was back then. may the rat pack R.I.P.

I only wish more people would just listen to the Talent that was "Born" and entertained us by so many African Americans such as Sammy.Davis Jr. Clean ,Beautiful entertainment. How I wish we could bring them back and let the Millennials see what real enjoyment feels like! RIP Sammy and "ALL!!!"

Sooooo much talent, it is scary. Sammy like Bobby Darin could do so much. Both could do great impressions as well as sing and act. Bobby could play tons of different instruments and wrote many songs even though he couldn't read music. Sammy was a great dancer with tons of energy ! We just don't have entertainers like that anymore.

Absolutely amazing! When he appeared on Broadway as "Mr. Wonderful," Sammy delighted audiences and cast members as well by never repeating a performance with one similar. Man ... I'd have given anything to have seen him on that stage!

Many people know Sammy Davis as a straight singer or maybe from his comedy appearances in movies like Cannonball Run, but he was so much more! SO many talents all in one man! I remember reading his autobiography and being amazed at the discovery that he had a part of his act where he spun pistols, and how much he loved that. When I read about him doing impersonations, I thought "yeah, he's probably a pretty ok impersonator for a singer," but watching this, I can see he's AMAZING. Dead on!

Yes, it's true. Sammy was the greatest entertainer ever in any era. Even the gods and owners of all show business know this. He had to work harder because he was black, short of stature and in the era of Jim Crow. As a production insider, they only hire and cast people that can do it all.
