I agree with John Clark. I met Roger after a Who show in Miami. He was going into a car and saw me, stopped to say hi, sign an autograph and gave me 5-10 minutes to chat. I was blown away. I know first hand that he appreciates his fans and IS absolutely humble.

My wife and I met at the “Use It or Lose It” tour stop in Red Bank NJ. For extra couple hundred it was a dream for me the fanatic! We both got a pic together and he autographed not just show merchandise but the items from home ! Pete wouldn’t sign shit aside from “Who I Am” book when I “met” for the price of the autobiography in Bookends store in northern New Jersey. Still wouldn’t turn it down. But Pete could have said hello. Seems so open on Late Night show in March (?) to promote Broadway redo of “Tommy”

I met Roger many years ago in Silverlake, a suburb of L.A. looking for albums. Back then, I didn't know the amount of record shops in the early 2000's was a lot, and he knew more than the locals. My GF back then flipped out because she only knew the intro to CSI, which embarrassed me. He laughed about it. Learned eventually from an agent guy friend of mine that Daltrey gets royalty checks from the CSI episode every time it's played in syndication somewhere. He does not really "need" to work nor sing for money.

Roger Daltry doesn’t do drugs. He did in the early days. His now wife gave Roger an ultimatum, quit doing drugs or she’s gone. 2 of his band mates are gone and Pete Townsends is lucky he’s alive. Barry Gibbs the same story and he’s still alive.

Took my husband to see The Who when they were on tour in 2019. Hubby had been a huge fan since the early days in the ‘70’s. Never had a chance to see them in their heyday. The difference between Roger and Pete, John plus Keith is that he has looked after himself. In his days as 'Tommy', Roger looked stunningly handsome and physically very fit unlike the other three. The man went from the spotty ugly duckling to growing his locks and becoming the dynamic, sexy swan. He kept his hair too, unlike poor Pete though Pete has had the royalties for songwriting. Well done, Roger. I don't care about some of his right wing views which I don't agree with; by and large he's a top bloke and a great figurehead for The Who.

Interesting bit of trivia : Daltrey never took voice training of any kind - he is a natural powerhouse vocalist. ✌

I met this guy in Cabo san lucas , i was on a surf trip and i've landed to surf monument spot , i was came out and somebody was waiting on my car a ford station wagon that i've bought in LA 2 weeks before , we chatted with this man and he proposed me to buy it , the deal was done and i would stayed at his hacienda for a month an get paid weekly for the rest , when i 'arrived he made me the tour of the place and showed one particular vehicle , a red buggy with flame on the side and a name flogged on the interior door Sammy Hagar the red rocker" ...at the time i didn't knew that guy and we chatted about the place , 3 weeks later Robert asked me to go with him to pick up Van hallen band with him to san josé del Cabo Airport ... At This moment I realized what was going on , I knew the band and my brother was a big fan , at this time the band was the owner of a club in Cabo San Lucas named " Cabo Wabo" and I 've spend an amazing three days withe Samy and Eddie

I was there as a high schooler. If I recall correctly the Clash was the warm up band but I know they played 2 shows at Shea for their “final tour”. Long time ago. I was a big fan and absolutely blown away by how great they were.

@@robertjones8598 I jumped on the field and went right to the front. I was about 50 feet away. I met some girl there &. I leave it there. I thought that the Clash was really good. Daltrey is a boring front man. All he does is march in place and swing the mic. I have seen so many concerts. Young 4X, Clapton, Kansas, and more. I went to the Music at the Meadowlands concert in '79. There was Todd Rundgren's Utopia, The Outlaws, Poco, and headlined by Boston. I saw the first ever concert there. Pablo Cruise, Stanky Brown, The Beach Boys, and The Steve Miller Band.
