Vladimir, it's Frankie DeCicco....not "de chico". Put some respect on his name bro, he was one of the top guys in Costa Nostra. The DeCicco's are still heavy in the Gambino family. But even more so back then. His father, uncle, and cousins were all in the life. There is actually an old Fox news interview on YT where Joe DeCicco (who was a capo) is blaming Sammy for Frankie's death. I actually wished you would have ask Sammy to talk more about Frankie. Everyone that knew him said he was a gangster's gangster. Sammy respected him more than anyone.
@kgkg41182 жыл бұрын
@Boss619Tycoon according to Sammy, at Frankie's funeral he vowed to get vengeance for his death. Of course Gotti wanted to strike back also but they wanted to be sure of who did it. Sammy said it was Gaspipe and Chin, and eventually Gotti gave him the order to go at them for Frankie's death. But this was right before their indictments, so Sammy never got the opportunity to carry it out before getting arrested

Before The bombing the FBI came and told John their was a contract on his life..I speculate that John skipped the meeting as it was at the club of Jimmy Faila who was a staunch Castellano supporter and was actually at Sparks the day Big Paul was killed. When Frankie died, Joe Gallo who had been in the mob as a consigliere for 3 Gambino Dons told John the tried n missed so he would now get a pass. John averted a war but secretly ok’d Angelo trying to kill Gaspipe but the shooter fucked up and Gaspipe tortured him and found out the Gambinos set him up. They suspected it was the Chin but I don’t think they really wanted that smoke to be honest.

I don’t understand what Angelo did in the eyes of Gotti that was so bad? From what I’ve read..Gotti gave the go ahead for Angelo to set up the hit on Casso after Casso had set up the death of DeCicco. Casso survived and found out Angelo was behind it. A meeting was called between Gotti and Genovese to clear the air. Gotti denied any knowledge of killing Castellano or ordering the hit on Casso, and instead throwing Angelo to the wolves and basically saying he acted alone. But he saved his life by suggesting Angelo should be “put on shelf” instead of killed. So it was all charade to appease Genovese. So again, why would Gotti be angry at Angelo for something he ordered him to do? Unless he was angry at him for botching the hit on Casso!
@yankees292 жыл бұрын
You have to understand how feared Gaspipe and Chin Gigante were. Gotti didn’t want any smoke with Chin or Gas.
@imablazeuonfiya14 күн бұрын
Other than the attempted hit on Gaspipe Casso, there were alot of other reasons for Angelo Ruggiero being ostricized by John Gotti. Reason 1, Angelo was the reason why Gene Gotti and a bunch of other guys got arrested in his heroin case and got sent to prison for alot of years. Angelo Ruggiero invited Willie Boy Johnson (who was an informant) to his house and Williy Boy gave the FBI the layout of Angelo's house on where to plant the bugs and wiretaps. Angelo and Gene hid the heroin tapes from everyone, including John. Reason 2, In 1986 while John was in jail awaiting trial, Angelo had a court hearing while out on bail for another case and he got into an argument with a judge to which he got arrested, his bail revoked, and ended up in jail alongside John. Angelo was trying very hard to become John's underboss, when he ended up in jail, this angered John so much that he got passed over. Angelo stayed in jail even when his heroin case began in 1987. In 1988, he gets put on house arrest while awaiting his 3rd trial because he was suspected of having lung cancer (which was true). Now that they don't have to worry about Paul Castellano, John finally listens to Angelo's heroin tapes (which he most likely got from his brother Gene since Angelo was stuck in jail) and got even more infuriated with Angelo that he got caught on FBI wiretaps discussing crimes so openly and bluntly in his own house. John eventually breaks Angelo from captain to soldier of the Bergin crew. In 1989, While Gene Gotti and John Carneglia got sentenced to 50 years in prison, Angelo get severed from the heroin case because his cancer became terminal (to which eventually died). Because of his brother Gene, John Carneglia doing time, along with other defendents on the heroin case (Michael Coiro, Mark Reiter), this further infuriated John Gotti so much that he refused to visit or telephone Angelo Ruggiero while he was dying. He only went to Angelo's funeral because there was going to be alot of made guys (even from different families) there and because he wanted to make peace with Angelo's personal famly. Angelo's brother Sal dying in a plane crash, led to Angelo taking over the drug operation, which led to a bunch of people getting arrested, which led to Paul Castellano getting killed, which led to Gotti becoming boss of the Gambino family, which led to the FBI stalking him a hawk, which led to everyone going to prison, including John Gotti himself. Angelo got off easy, he died.
@its_rick_james_bich257513 күн бұрын
