Part 4: • Sammy the Bull on How ...
Part 2: • Sammy the Bull on How ...
Part 1: • Sammy the Bull on How ...
--------
After leaving the witness protection program and relocating to Arizona, Sammy "The Bull" Gravano made headlines thanks to a high profile interview with Diane Sawyer. The interview was a part of his book launch, a decision he admits was spurred on by ABC producers he had become friendly with. Though there was a hefty bounty on his head due to his cooperation against the Gambino crime family, Gravano says nothing negative happened right away after the interview. A hit team did eventually track him down, but were unable to make their move as he had relocated to a Mexican neighborhood he says was optimal for protection. Exposure to the neighborhood community resulted in the local gang leader offering Gravano a form of protection. Gravano claims that he was well-prepared with weapons in every room of his house ahead of his eventual arrest on drug charges.

*"I’m not sure why people always try to find flaws."* lotta mob snitches and former hatchetmen are full of crap. even Sammy says so about a few of em. talking with vlad in i think this same interview session he calls out hitman Iceman Kuklinksi for being full of it. it's better to be cynical and assume it's crap until you can at least somewhat say "i can't say he's lying, and at least if he's a liar, he's a consistent one." honestly this doesn't just apply here, lots of people are full of crap, and it's better to at least assume that at first so you expect it and know what to look for, than to trust them at face value blindly and get screwed because you were asleep at the wheel and just took it on faith. i would assume a guy like Sammy would agree, since if he wasn't the suspicious type he likely wouldn't still be breathing, considering his line of work.

It's unfortunate that Sammy fell back into old habits when he was in Witness Protection and then lost almost another 20 years of his life to prison due to the ecstacy conviction. He could have put out another book or whatever to make more money. I know KZbin wasn't around back then. Whatever stipend he was living on probably wasn't enough for him after what he was used to. I am surprised he is alive and well after everything he's been through and I read he had some health condition back like 10-15 years ago that he obviously overcame. He's a great storyteller and I have enjoyed his KZbin Channel.

The question I would have about the hitmen finding him. Like I wonder what tipped them off that you were in arizona. The diana sawyer interview did have a desert look through the windows I think. Then I guess that narrows it down to a desert town. So from texas to the Coachella valley. I remember he had a business and maybe the name of the construction business was named after sammy. And they just got lucky and put 2 and 2 together. Or maybe there was a friendly person feeding info back home. Not on purpose of course. Crazy that he had went through everything he did.

Why did he testify against all the other men In The Mafia not just John Gotti but so many others and people act like he's such a great guy he's a slimy human being just look at his history and what he's done and the government polished him up and used him to bring down organized crime and said it was John Gotti being flashy but in reality It was sammy Gravano and other men who also now do all these interventions and have podcasts shows that helped the government bring down the Mafia not john Gotti wearing expensive clothes and all that other nonsense that they push .

I always enjoy Sammy telling his stories. I used to buy LSD from the british guy who got him caught up for the extasy ring.

I thought he is not allowed to make money off of his crimes? You know he's a likeable personality. It's sad he didn't make better choices in his life. He is very intimidating. But its surprising that he has not been killed by his enemies.

Yeah out of all the rats and witness protection you would think he would of been given John Gotti. They had a huge family and nobody did.
