The audio is a little poor as you are in the office, then once you walk from the office to the shop, the audio goes wacky. Maybe a strap hangs down and rattles off the camera or something. Otherwise nice informative video

Alfred, thanks for the videos. I have an Astra-Elite T and C grinder. I find that setting it up for basic operations such as facing a shell end mill to be quite an adventure, with the stone tending to interfere with other teeth. It would be nice if you could stick in some basic videos for us tool grinding novices between the more advanced projects. Also, I live in Sacramento, does your shop have tours? I belong to a group that I am sure would love a tour and demonstration of your facilities.

Donald Yungling on most of these machines the set ups almost always depend as much on your available accessories as your knowledge. I could do a quick video but there are many factors that could make the set up different but if it helped than it would be a fun video to make. As far as tours, come by any time m-th between 8am and 3pm. Call me at the shop if you have a specific date in mind. 916-408-2442

Alfred, thanks I will try one day next week to visit. Here is a page showing my setup. I have pretty much all of the accessories except radius tools. www.lathes.co.uk/astraar5e/ Any tool grinding video will be met with delight at this end. I would also like to know if center drill and countersinks could be sharpened with what I have, or if at all possible for a home shop. Have a great holiday.
