Mokaygee mentioned! :o Wow an actually well researched video for a cool challenge run! Some notes while watching: -I would have been happy to provide help and solutions if you had any questions. -Squish climb is just called pellet clipping, but you can call that first specific pellet clip the squish climb if you want. -Incredible map explanation with custom model cinematography! -It would be nice if you explained that you did this with savestates. Oh, you did at 21:12. Excellent!! -@MintyMeeo -TRR's FN TAS is my favourite TAS on youtube. -32:47 clever. -34:30 I appreciate the effort it takes to get the libra to misbehave correctly. -38:40 I wish you'd have shown ADF coming ashore. Wait 42:42 :o -43:47 It's because CR is so big it's hitting so many different floor triangles. It's also such a light part (the opposite of dense like IJ or ADF) that it's willing to slide easily. Same with GD. Parts don't like to change their angle and you're trying to force this constantly. -50:20 You like naming things, huh. Anyway you don't need to go in and out of the threat range, you can just leave a single pikmin at the edge of the blowhog's threat range. I did this for IR in my red only, I left the red on the nectar island while 2 pikmin attacked it for half the day. -56:50 *Leonardo DiCaprio pointing at the screen* The 2nd person who's seen it was xHaii, interestingly the only other known person who also did a legitimate 29/30 red only run. Oh and you could totally have just bombed the gate but I have the feeling watching this video that you changed the rules in the editing process. You wanted to not USE pikmin as much as possible, which is also why you didn't break the 9 gate in DS. That's not a very cinematic fact though so it makes sense not to include it. -57:05 HAD ME POGGING legitimately. 2 hours isn't very long to try to recreate this. Did you use the set RNG code? -1:00:40 Aww. Anyway you're right that the bombs don't spawn on the lower ledge, confirmed by Meeo. It's a combination of the RNG to spawn the bombs next to the ledge, inside each other, then also one of them gets pushed down the ledge as they resolve their positions. Overall fantastic video, this is my favourite Pikmin challenge video by a non-runner. Because it uses so many things I had to come up with for a challenge run that is so close to my heart. -Mokay

I knew you'd turn up at some point, but dang this reached you m a d quick. Thanks for some of the explanations, it's cool to see why some of the things I couldn't explain were happening (and to get my theory regarding the final trial bomb rocks confirmed). Also yeah you're totally right about this challenge being minimum "pikmin use," it's just a harder sell for a video. Also also I generally like doing these sorts of challenges completely myself, so I actually avoided watching your red pikmin only challenge like the plague until getting stuck in final trial so I wouldn't spoil myself on any solutions (one reason why I thought I discovered the blowhog thing myself). But yeah it was really really cool to see how many parallels there were in the tricks we used!

Furthermore, denying one resource in a challenge run almost always ends up as “you can’t do the run” because of that one gimmick battle or that one tutorial battle or that one creative challenge they expect you to do unless the game is particularly broken, like let’s say Skyward Sword and Reverse BiTmagic. I’d watch them anyways, but it feels weird to set a challenge only for the answer to be “no, the tutorial battle stops me” or “no, the Armored Harriers battle stops me”.

Excellent music choices, my man! I kept having to rewind the video to actually listen to what you were saying cause I was too busy jamming to my favortie video game soundtracks! Speaking of favorites, I've always loved pikmin but never ventured into the glitch/speedrun side of it, so this was so cool!! And it doesn't surprise me even slightly that the Libra freaked out like that. That part it jank city.

It always fascinates me the kind of things people do for challenge videos. This was amazing!

Everything about this video is amazing: from the initial idea and tricks picked up along the way to the great humor and editing. My favorite bit is your hand coming to interact with the map, it tickles my caveman brain quite a bit.

I adore the editing in this video. All the 3D shots of the map, all the funny hand edits, the squiggly lines...! I was watching half this video while making and eating breakfast so it honestly really helped that the lines were squiggly, I always knew what was going on even if I missed them getting drawn XD
