"It's amazing what a boat can do" No truer words have EVER been spoken. I don't think the full impact of your project will ever be fully understood. I like many others found it during Covid. An outlet. A window. A vision. A place for sanity. A place of hope. Although I have never met any in person , I feel as though I am hanging out with a group of friends. The outpouring for Raul and Darlene further proves there is a large group of like minded folks hanging out too! Hasn't always been fun , but it has been real and THAT is much appreciated. Thank you to Leo for having the tenacity not just to take on the project but for the willingness to document the journey so we all can come along for the ride too!

All who are involved want to bury all and any discussion. The sooner those who are in denial realise what has and is actually happening the better. Leo the one thing that will always stick with me about why Darlene was a warm lovin soul. I remember it was the day you were moving Tally Ho to her new build spot. When everything was all bundled and secured it was time for you to leave and say good bye. Darlene standing there with her husband watching you leave she began to cry. My hearts of hearts tell me that she took you like a son which probably made her feel like she was sending off one of children into the big new world. 🤗 Condolences to the family and Bigs thanks to them for letting you start on Tally Ho in the yard so we subs could watch Tally’s new beginning.

When Tally Ho was moved, I was struck that Darlene was so emotional! Up until then, it had not occurred to me that the two of them were themselves personally invested in the project... It's inspirational to get a glimpse into what a bunch of genuinely nice people can achieve. And especially that so many people, across continents, are prepared to offer support to complete strangers. There is hope for us yet; it is easy to lose sight of all the good in the World.

This channel is a perfect example of the best of humanity. We came together to support Leo in accomplishing the impossible: to rebuild a thing of beauty that had fallen into ruin. From the very beginning it was obvious that Leo was capable of completing this heroic task, and I along with many many other were inspired to support him. Darlene and Raul being first and foremost. That they opened their shop, and home, to Leo at the get-go was a stunningly generous act of faith in Leo. As always, every act of open generosity is amply rewarded. They gave to the Tally Ho project with no expectation other than a beautiful boat, but they received such generosity that Raul is going to be taken care of now that Darlene is gone. The clip of Darlene and Raul is such a gift to me, a supporter from Episode #3. A massive massive thank-you to Leo for giving me this.

Oh Leo, that is indeed sad news. My heart goes out to you, Raul, and all who knew and loved her. I am heartened to see that Pancho got to spend some time with her friends after such a loss. Bless you man.

Hello Leo, first of all I want to tell you that I am very sorry because Darlene lost this last fight, but I hope that from where she is, she is looking at you smiling and as always she will take care and be proud of you and of your entire team, which I must say that what you do there is simply art and total dedication. Thank you for sharing with us this wonderful story of Tally Ho and I send you only good thoughts from Romania.

That is very sad news, I remember the video where Leo left Darlene's and Raul's home, to move to the shipyard, and how they shed tears at Leo's depature; I got the impression Leo means a lot to them, like he had become a son, it was really moving to see. People like Darlene and Raul, who have such open and compassionate hearts, that nurture the love in those around them, they are the heart of our communities. May love and friendship surround all those grieving.

Sitting upright next to her lovely partner, speaking with a kind of dignity and courage, she does not say farewell--she instead muses on how the creation of something beautiful can bring people together. I'm sure that the life and creativity of the builders brought extra life into her during the last years. It's a very beautiful message. Thank you for sharing it.
