Years of ukemi practice until middle age (even doing demos on concrete) caused bursitis in both scapulas and both shoulders resulting in surgeries.

I think I've made just about every mistake you've shown here. Ive just started and had minumal instruction on break falling but nost in the club are far more advanced so it seems they assume I should know all this, but imI would have preferred my first class to be just this for the whole class. Anyway will be working on this as I can confirm I'm not at all comfortable with being thrown and it makes learning everything else difficult. Thanks for the video.

Isn't it called mae mawari ukemi? I am egyptian and that is what we call it here
