Excellent! When you get into the gnarlier stuff, I would talk about when to stand. Very important in learning to dance with the bike!

Sam’s Bikes awesome. It’s great ! I’m very pleased , but probably first thing that I will change will be the breaks. You’re right about it !

As a beginner I found it interesting that you talk about keeping the pedals at a 9 o'clock/3 o'clock position when descending. Some of the other skills videos show you how to alternate a 10 o'clock/6 o'clock position as you work your way through turns so you can keep your weight centered above the crank as you lean the bike over. Can I assume that since it's a "beginner" rider that you didn't want to muck things up by piling too much on his plate at the outset? Obviously the end result of this day's ride was to avoid catastrophic pedal strikes.

Interesting 🤔 I’ve never been a teacher before I just try and break down what I do and feel when I ride and it seems to work I never never have my pedals at 12 and 6 wheels going dh. But maybe the other teachers have a point. Good luck with the learning baby steps often is the key 🔑

Seat height - fully extended leg - YES. But when pedaling with your HEELS. Then it's correct!

Have you got any videos or talked about diy ebikes? looking to get into it after 20 year brake and an several more stone, so not fit enough to peddle uphill and ebike even cheapest is out of my budget. Any opinions or experience. Doubt I'll progress uabove blue trails. For such trails do you really need full sus? Or would hard tail be fine?

GlaucusBlue 5k gets u an ebike
@GlaucusBlue4 жыл бұрын
@@JittyLaRoot yes and 5k is a hell of a lot of money and well outside what I can afford. Edit - where I could get a 2nd hand bike handrail or full sus, plenty of 2010 ish santa Cruz, kona etc and fit a bbs02 or tsdz02 with battery for 1k, which I could afford. But would durability, ground clearance etc all be ok. Then if I enjoy, get a proper ebike in like 2-3 years off saving.

@@GlaucusBlue just go on pinkbike and search the ebike section. Sure you will find a decent second hand one for a good price.

You are burning fat at any heart reat level, it is the % of glucose and fat that will be different depending on the intensity. Further more, burning fat is all about calories in and out, so you will burn calories at a higher intensity and you will burn more calories as you get fitter. Riding at a high intensity will get you fitter, by elevating your V02 MAX, so do not be afraid to ride at any level of intensity.
@SamsBikes4 жыл бұрын
sorry mate not a pro on this but I have ridden bikes my whole life and know that someone that isn't that fit you try and get them to do high intensity training1 they can get injured easy and 2 they will never come riding with me again.. need to make it fun and enjoyable and people with get fit without knowing it.
@desrosij4 жыл бұрын
@@SamsBikes Hi...your right ! Like any physical acticity, you start buy laying the fondation and go from there...my response was to make the precision that you burn calories at any level of intensity. So...you lose weight regardless the type of riding you do...fat burning zone is over rated. Thanks for the good bike info Mate
