Can still recall a journalist in my country who sheds light on some of the physically most demanding jobs. People tend to not know the history of that man well, and at some point were like "Who is he for saying that working in an Amazon-warehouse is one of the hardest, back-breaking jobs ever?" And then people explained that he had been doing some of the lesser seen jobs a lot for his articles, spending several weeks or sometimes even months doing that work, including the work of stuffing luggage in planes in spaces where you basically can't stand upright and are pushing in heavy suitcases during your whole shift. It is pretty ehm, "funny" to see how these Republicans are so desperate to clown around in portraying themselves as very understanding of the working class... Like, when I was little I always watched the garbage collection, I know what buttons they had to push. When an uncle who drove trucks took one light of a scrapped truck home and gave it to me and my dad hung it up to the ceiling and gave it a little power supply to light it, I sometimes switched it on when the garbage truck was coming. They always waved when that was the case. Honestly, this whole cosplaying as working class people thing would be ever so slightly less bad if they were like, normal about it. Not overly stupid remarks and that kind of thing.
