So I just spent the last day soundproofing a door by installing curtain wires and hanging heavy moving blankets on both sides, adding further heavy blankets to the actual door, as well as weather stripping and dual door draft stoppers which has made a significant difference already to the amount I can hear from my toddlers (which had made it impossible to record before) and while I'm looking at MVL and sound foam for finishing up my booth/staging area I'd like to get a better MIC for cutting out noise behind the mic. This MIC has an appealing price and comes recommended for recording in noisy environments but I was also considering something like the Shure MVL Centraverse Lav with a unidirectional cardioid polar pattern.

@@summer-sk1xn If you're gonna do voice acting you'll probably want an XLR mic because all USB mics have some level of background noise, whilst XLRs are more clean. If you have to get a USB mic the C01U Pro will suffice. Maybe get the cheaper mic for now and save up for an XLR setup, which is really just an audio interface and the mic itself.

Thanks for another great review. I was wondering have you any videos where you review mic stands or suspension scissor arm boom stands. Actually, what do you prefer, standard mic stands or suspension scissor arm stands? I heard that the suspension scissor arm boom stands will weaken over a short period of time and can't handle heavier more well constructed mics. I was recently faced with a purchasing dilemma where I had to decide on which one of the two to buy. I decided to go with the standard floor stand. However, I am still thinking about getting the suspension scissor arm in the future. I must admit, I think they look pretty cool. Also, I agree with the PlayXGame. You know, you are one of the best at doing product reviews, and I think that we viewers should spread the word about this channel to manufacturers, especially when it comes to the products we want you to review. I think that would help the channel and as well help us make better consumer purchasing decisions. Thanks, again and two thumbs up!!!

I was about to sell this mic as I was so disappointed not getting the same audio as bandrew, I did not know you have to have a treated room like his to have good quality audio like he does here. The sound deck eliminated most of that hissing problem for me without making the audio sound edited or robotic. Couldn't recommend it enough.

+Podcastage Yeah, mechanical keyboards can get a bit expensive. I got my G710 for $40 on Black Friday. It makes a huge difference, haven't looked back.

Darkrai348 I'm looking at the Das Keyboard S, but it's $133. That's what I'll end up getting probably. Just need to save up a bit because I need to make sure I have the mics to review first.

Hey! I love your reviews. I recently also saw the Audio-technica At2020 (it also has a USB version). If you could only take one to a deserted island, which would you take? Thanks for all the awesome reviews!

20 years!? That’s amazing that you’ve gotten that much use out of it. Heck yeah.

Watched a bunch of your reviews for the very first time today! Love them and subscribed! I'm trying to pick a decent usb mic in the $100 range that doesn't pick up a lot of background noise (especially keyboard and mouse clicks). I will likely pick up a boom arm at some point since I hear that that is the most important thing to remove background noise. Is this still a contender in 2021? Would you recommend a mic other than this for my use case? Thank you very much for any advice you can give :) Edit: sorry just wanted to specify I am only interested in streaming / recording voice. Music is not a concern for me.
