I am from Germany and got up in the middle of the night to see the finals. When Samson won i got goosebumbs and teared up a little bit because he just deserves it so much. Whenever i hear Fouad talk about Samson you can hear so much joy in his voice, so much passion about seeing his friend thrive. ❤

I have been watching Samson way before he came into the radar. I still remember his battles with Rafa, Nathan and even when he wasn't winning shows, the man came in a little bit better, always, be it the improvements, or the posing, or the sheer mentality. I wasn't surprised when Mel coached him, because I saw her supporting him all these years. I remember how happy he was when he got his Olympia jacket, I still have that screenshot which I shared with him. To this day I have never met a man so appreciative of the fruits of his labour. I truly believe that he is one of the rare bodybuilders in history that has no upper limit. Your story is the story of persistence Samson. You are where you are because you never gave up. Congrats my man The Mountain Dog would be proud.

Samson is the People's Champion and also now Mr. Olympia...not only did he show his workouts weekly on KZbin, but also allowed us to follow his day-to-day home life and workouts, uploading IG stories everyday and even taking fan questions on the weekend, which is not the norm with most bodybuilders.

I still remember almost three years ago I had a talk with a much older coworker who used to bodybuild in the 90s. He was reflecting on how sad he was that the overwhelming push towards mass had turned the sport away from the soul of what he loved (he was a big aesthetics/mass with class guy). I agreed with him, but told him that there was this one guy named Samson Dauda who I thought could be the guy to turn things around. He looked at a couple pictures and said that he really wished THAT was the type of physique that the judges rewarded "but I guess its just a dream". Flash forward...the man finally did it. I can't wait to show my old friend next time we work a job together. Bravo to Samson, and I hope this is the start of a dynasty. Him winning means genuinely great things for bodybuilding.

I was already a big Samson fan because I just love the way he represents bodybuilding, but after that Olympia everything took a higher level and getting up in the middle of the night both friday prejudging and saturday finals (from Switzerland) was really fucking worth it. Thank you Samson and thank you Fouad for the best podcasts out there!

I’ve been in prep since May. I’m onto my fifth show in 8 weeks with another five to go over three weeks. If you keep healthy and love what you do, why would you put a limit on that? And I’m 46 years, been competing since 2008 and loving it more now more than EVER, whilst getting better & better results with a physique that its still being judge as improving season to season. Why would you want to limit yourself on what you enjoy doing in life, if you can keep doing it in a way that allows longevity and the enjoyment to continue.

The Arnold will never eclipse the Olympia. Its and invitational and they don't have all of the divisions, let alone the history. You needed the Olympia to even have an Arnold Classic in existence.
