The reason this podcast excels and will always excel is the sheer authenticity displayed without even trying to do so. Nothing is forced here, just a couple of friends catching up on bodybuilding and life ,watched by us folks personally invested enough to feel an equal part.

The tan thing dates back to Ancient Egypt. Women were depicted as white because they stayed inside, and the men were brown because they worked outside. This is also why Japanese women /Geisha wear very white makeup. Hispanics, specifically Mexicans, also avoid excessive tans as it is an indication of outdoor labor. Which is why you often see them wearing long sleeves. This is a very ancient tradition that is still visible all around the world

The question on athletes leaving etc. The explanation you gave is perfect in the usmc we have a officer club and a enlisted club the marine Corp theory is you can't drink beer with a guy then make him do push-ups the next morning. There is so much to owning a biz employees don't get at one point I recall selling my pickup to ensure payroll then getting complaints about them wanting raises (you can never let them know) it makes unsteady work environment the stress is insane your life becomes biz evan on vacation your looking at facilities there employees etc. I appreciate that Foud does take questions head on and remains friends with ex employees. Unfortunately iam I unable to do that (lol)

38:00 My old employer used to sponsor the AAU (Armature Athletic Union) bodybuilding show at the Wisconsin State Fair for a few years. There was one competitor who was notorious for doing a BACK FLIP off the stage(an OUTDOOR STAGE) onto the CONCRETE that the seats were set up on Infront of the stage. He never hurt himself but was finally told he would be DQed if he continued to do it as it was a huge risk. Heck look at the guys who got hurt just walking down the stage stairs, like Art Atwood did years ago(RIP Big Man!)

01:05:00 Regarding Fouad's stance/position on "running with what got you there" I do agree, with the caveat that if "running with what got you there" causes you to break your legs then even though it was the optimum training for you for so many years you just cannot do it anymore. For example NOTHING builds my chest as well as heavy smith incline and DB incline, NOTHING. I for the life of me cannot get anywhere near the same growth at 40 doing anything else. Unfortunately my shoulders do not allow anything close to heavy on either movement and I am fighting a loosing battle as I slowly loose size a little at a time.
