Great content. I've been using supcase unicorn beetle pro for about 4 years. Love it. I'm using the supcase unicorn beetle pro in clear color for my s23 ultra. One day, while getting out of my car, the wind blew my driver door close, which hit my arm, knocking my phone hard onto the driveway. I cringed when I heard it drop and bounce under my car. Cringing when bent down to pick it up, there wasn't a scratch on my phone or case. No blemishes, either. Supcase saved my phone. Great case.

Hi Jerome! Sorry for the late reply! Ah yes! I've been there too! These cases are really made quite well and I'm glad I took the chance on them a few years ago! I use my phone heavily, all day for work and play, and for creating youtube videos. Having the best case protection for my device is mandatory for me since I need it running 24/7! That being said, I've checked out quite a few other cases on my new Smartphone and Mobile Tech channel over here: youtube.com/@MobileTested

Hi, would this be compatible with a tempered glass screen protector?
@STS2 жыл бұрын
Hi Davis! I haven't posted the video yet but today I installed the Whitestone Dome tempered glass screen protector on my S22U with this case. The application process for the Whitestone Dome screen protector has a few more steps than most (it's adhesive based) but, I can confirm it does work. The curved left and right sides sit just under the top layer of the Supcase almost locking it in. There's no issues with applying a protector even if it's curved from what my experience was. Which tempered glass screen protector were you looking at getting?

But does it pass the stylus test? Take the stylus out and place it across the display width wise. If it touches the screen with the case ON then it's a no go case and you can be guaranteed the sides aren't protected. Ps: Do you have a glass screen protector that will DEFINITELY fit this case? I have a Caseborne V and the Milomdoi glass screen protector and it lifted up at the edges at first.. I fixed it by baking it under the uv for longer. It's still not a perfect fit, but it's working. I want to try a Beetle Pro with the same (or different) glass protector so do let me know!
@STS Жыл бұрын
Hi Abundant Harmony! I understand what you are saying but no, it would not pass the type of test you are describing. I dont think it would be a good idea to block off the curved edges in the way you are describing. Modern phones have curved sides for design and swiping functionality, the S22 has a quick-access menu accessed by swiping the top right hand side of the curved screen. I don't think many case providers would like to remove phone functionality. Raising the the case height on the sides is also not necessary to protect the phone when it is dropped and lands screen side down. The top and bottom of the case are raised a few mm higher than the rest of the body and the raised highet extends a little bit past where the screen ends. This means if your phone fell perfectly flat on a flat surface, the screen would never touch the surface it fell on. You phone is more likey to land on a corner, at least in my experience where this case has its beefiest protection. This is my daily driver phone and the phone I use to record videos for the channel, I have dropped it many times and have not sustained any phone damage. As for the screen protector, I'm using a Whitestone Dome tempored glass screen protector. I like it, seems nice and strong, and I would rate the fit / compatiblity a 9/10. Took me two tried in order to get hte screen protector applied correctly. I like the case and screen protector, I have been using them since I finished filming the original videos on this S22 U last year, it's truly and awesome combo. I will say though, it does increase the phone weight a little bit. This does not bother me but some people prefer very light cases + screen protectors.
@abundantharmony Жыл бұрын
@@STS Okay, thanks. I keep hearing the Whitestone Dome fits about everything. I've actually not heard once that it lifted in the corners with any case. Check out the Caseborne V. It is a two piece and has great side pro but still passes the stylus test AND allows swipes from the edge. I'm getting a beetle pro to try with my last cheapo glass screen protector. If it works, that saves me like 30 bucks on a glass protector.

@@Sway_Boogie Yes and no. What I mean by that is that the correct fitment is close, real close. I had to remount the screen protector 3x to get it just right. No protection or raised bezels from right and left edges . If you dropped your phone on the edge of glass table or the edge of the stairs you will break the screen
@STS Жыл бұрын
This is not true. The bezels are raised by at least 2-3mm on the top and bottom of the phone. These extend past the curved edges, this means you can drop your phone on its side and the curved screen will not touch a flat surface. This feature is part of the phone to prevent the accident you describe from happening. In the video I show you can set the phone on a flat surface, even picking it up on its side, the glass does not touch.
