Oddly, you now want the Exynos version of the FE if you watch a lot of KZbin because KZbin now feeds VC1 video, which only the Exynos 2200 😅has a hardware decoder for. That means a 30% savings in battery while watching and much less heat. The Snap Gen 1 has to use software to decode and eats more battery to do it. Not sure the 1480 on the A55 has the decode hardware, though.

Thanks for the mic test, no reviewer test a phone as a device to talk to people anymore. The older models of the A series used to get sluggish after 2 or 3 years, but I can see that the performance between A54 and S23 FE is incremental

I have for years been an S series owner, however a few months ago I jumped ship to the A series, specifically the A55 5G, and I love it. In true reality the S offers only status points and elitism, however the A55 5G offer practical needs and better cost ratio. People would say a Ferrari is better than a Ford, but try getting a weeks shopping in the Ferrari 😅 Status or Practical use.

A55 - Cos i prefer battery backup over higher performance at demanding task which we don't do often - telephoto on S23fe is lit but many would rarely use it, 90% is just primary lens. - better design and less thickness than S23fe - A55 seems to hv better screen to body ratio, also 6.6 inch display ensures when we scroll through social media and browse KZbin, we have more options on display and dont have to further scroll.

Here in Brasil today fe was at sale for a diference of $34. (a55 for studensts: $378 ; s23 on a random super sale $413) Both 256 gb. Fe is exynos. I'm still choosing because I'm just a mid user and battery lify is a game changer for me, but I'm so drown into the fe cams.

If you ordered an A55 without testing it out, you might be in a surprise, as it is a big, heavy handset. Sammy is not even selling it in NA, instead lowered the price on the S23fe, which is a better phone in MO, It is almost 50% faster, even with the Exynos chip, it is also dynamic amoled, and has an actual 3x optical zoom lens, It is smaller and lighter than the A55 and costs about the same here. I have one with the SD chip and it's awesome, charges fast + wireless charge and takes great portrait shots.

@@alis1079 If you have the Snapdragon version, which I do, you will have good battery life. I can go 2 to 3 days on a charge under normal usage. I hear the exynos ver is getting real bad battery life and also overheats in some areas.

If S23 FE had good battery i would have taken it. And A55 wins in that dept. I am using S20 Ultra for four years. I have rarely used Wireless charging or Samsung Dex. So these are not deciding factors for me. I am gonna go with A55.

The s23 fe is basically supoorted for 3 os and 4 years security even though it was claimed 4 years os 5 years security it came how few weeks before android 14 which means you already lost 1 year of supoort right when the phone came out so its technically getting 1 os less than a55 because it didn't come out with android 14 and both r claimed to get 4 android update and 5 years security update.

@user-up4er2nz5i well now that you bought it if u could return it I'd suggest opting for an s22+ for the similar price instead other than 1 less android update it's a better phone, the s23 fe is essentially an s22 fe which is rebrand to 23 because of the time frame, the s23 fe doesn't offer any advantages over the s22+ other than 1 extra year of support, it's a watered down s22, the s22s have better camera, better display, better design which is more durable and also uses premium material and it even got the same galaxy AI features as the s23 fe, I'd suggest return this and getting the real thing for similar price the s23 fe is just like the pixel 8a not worth it, it's a great phone at $280 but the s22+ is the full version of the s23 fe minus android 17 support.
