I use to have this and I rocked it from 2016 to 2018. I absolutely loved it the OS was definitely dated and also the camera was surprisingly good. Only thing I didn’t like about it compared to the Apple Watch was it felt like a toy. Like one of those spy gear kids watches.

I just changed the battery in mine and it's the best watch I've owned since it was released. It works 100%, 100% of the time. Why did they get rid of the camera? I can snap a picture faster than anyone can even find their phone in their pocket and fish through to the camera app. Under 1 second, and I've snapped a picture. One of my pics was even used on the news (it was a car accident). Anyway, great watch and I like it better than any of my apple watches, samsung watches, Pebble, a fitbit (wore it for years). This one is by far, my favorite and now it's like new again.

Great reviews. Always "watch" your reviews before switching gear. Was an iPhone customer but switched 2 a Samsung Galaxy 3 smart phone after watching your objective, fair and articulate reviews of phones. Bought a Samsung 3 Galaxy and will never go back 2 any other manufacturer. My decision 2 purchase 3 was your review and explanation/comparison of all phones. I would not part with my S-G3 phone...love it. Keep reviewing. U do a great job.

its been out a little while now and it has actually been improved a lot in the software side. now you can see full notifications from other apps and with a little bit of messing about you can pair it to some other android devises (at reduced functionality) and you can install another home screen on it and even install full android apps, like games or whatever. again at minimal functionality because the screen is too small to do much with. its overall a pretty cool little gadget now. still not exactly worth the price tag, but quite cool none the less.

So on 4:30, your gear has a background. I've seen 2 other videos with the same thing, but the difference is that the background thay use is the stock wallpaper of the note 3, so stock note 3 background with the same digital clock with the icons or weather, so it's not an app or face maker. All i can do with mine is change the bg color. So my question is, how do you do it?!?!

I bet everyone is eating there own words since this video was made. The things you can do on this compared to when it was released are awesome with all the updates the gear has had. I've just bought one to a company my brilliant note 3. These two pieces of tech together are amazing and think to yourself what other company besides Samsung can do this sort of thing? ??? No one... The only people who dislike stuff like this are the people who cannot afford it, are stuck to there old phone or even worse drugged by Apple!... I love Samsung products and are way ahead of everyone.... Thank you!

If you remember, Apple did something similar to this with their first touchscreen ipod nanos. I don't know how well they sold but the idea has popped up before and people did buy them. Not to mention the watch itself doesn't look anymore "bulky" or cumbersome as some other, high-end luxury watches on the market.

I just got it for Christmas and i can guarantee you all it is great, there are rumors that you cannot call from it but that is not true you can, and its highly customizable. I never missed a phonecall and it doesnt look bad at all, Overall i would rate it 9 out of 10, just because it can improve a bit on the Initial Setup :)

I purchased the Note 3 with the Gear watch and so far am enjoying the experience. I am hoping as they add features they don't just add them to the second gen watch, we'll see how it plays out the next several months. So far I like being notified of new emails which most times can be read on the watch. Facebook is still just notification.

I'm totally down for it. It's kind of the reverse of what's gone on with desktops and notebook computers. Those have become all-in-ones with nothing to upgrade or swap out. But I see it making sense for phones especially with repairs. I feel like now I hear more people needing a fix for a phone than a computer.

Just a small correction. You CAN read your notifications with the watch if you tap on it. You can also respond to texts using Voice or the keyboard app :D

I think that Glass would work better with something like a smart watch. While the input capacity for a smart watch is limited, the input for Glass seems even more so. Maybe the ability to market both devices together will be more reasonable when one of the devices gets a cellular radio. I'm still not sure if either form factor could replace the current cell phone form factor in the mind of the consumer. Time will tell.

Really liked your way to review techs. And the gear doesn't really do what I need to in a smart watch that connected to my phone while im holding it most of the time, maybe the speaker options is the only thing attractive in the gear considering someone pickup his phone while he drive, but if you can tweet or chat in traffic lights then I'll consider buying it.
