S23 Ultra is said to also receive AI in an update. It could mean, it would be better than s24U at the end. Let alone the better looking curved glass on s23u will be gone for good, unfortunately. I think I'll keep my s23u. It seems to me like iphone as well, the hardware quality of mobiles and electronic these days are downgraded to keep the price.

Just upgraded from the note 20 ultra to s23 ultra and i love it! Got the phone super cheap too after trade in. Was going to wait for the s24U but the only difference is AI, Slight camera change and faster/ more powerful. The s23U is enough for me and don't really care about AI, So I'm going to stay. Not a fan of completely flat screens either.

The AI features are gimmicks honestly, no one is gonna use them frequently. Only improvements are camera, max brightness and faster performance. I'm only switching to s24 ultra cause I'm on the iPhone 14 pro max and I'm getting tired of apple. If i got the 23 ultra when it came I wouldn't switch until s25 comes.

The truth is that S23 Ultra is the best phone I ever had and I'm not even using its full potential. So I don't want to upgrade in this year or even in next 2 or 3 years. I don't think "AI" would be necessary for the camera to shoot in crop mode via it's 50mp sensor to accomplish a 10x zoom effectively. Like when you put a DX lens on a Full Frame Nikon camera, the camera converts to being in DX mode. It's simply cropping the sensor giving you the appearance of zooming in further. No "AI" involved. But I guess that's the term now.

I am happy with my S23ultra, I will be using this for another 5 years, the last score on my s23U for geekbench was single core: 2045 Multi core : 5301 which is impressive, I dont feel this is worth upgrading seems the UFS storage speeds will be the same the performance will not be very much visible. They should have added a new generation storage UFS type to justify the upgrade is worth, if I am not wrong currrently its 3.1

Not enough info about the zoom lens. What's the aperture? Is the sensor larger? If it is, the lens configuration could be exactly the same as the last year model, but thanks to physics, the optical zoom would be less as a result of the larger sensor. IE, if the new sensor is 2x the size of the old one, the effective magnification would be 50% less. It's the same thing as the difference between zoom lenses on DSLR cameras. The exactly same lens mounted on a full frame will have larger zoom power if put on APS-C camera. There are formulas to calculate the difference, but you'd have to know the sensor size.

With 20/200 vision when I want to see what's around me better I use the 10x optical like a telescope. If a 50 mp 5x optical AI to 10x is just as good why not use the 1x 200 mp main sensor and AI everything to whatever zoom you want?

I never liked Samsungs colours so I usually went with either black or white (once I picked a lavender). But the iPhone in blue titanium is my favourite colour in a phone for a while, alongside the deep purple of the 14 pros.

My vision is 20/200 I use the S23 Ultra10x optical zoom as a visual aid like a telescope and for taking pictures. When the S24 Ultra comes out I will go to the store and compare them. I will point my S23 Ultra 10x optical at the furthest area away then I will try the same thing with the S24 Ultra 5x optical. If I can see the same things I will upgrade. I can't use AI digital zoom on something I can't see optically first.

The only way I'll upgrade from my s23 ultra 1tb is if the s24 ultra has a 2tb model then I'd trade it towards it in a heartbeat but there doesn't seem like there's any word on that so I'm keeping my s23 ultra unless samsung is keeping it a surprise lol I only care about having the most storage and screen quality so that would be a nice upgrade for me

@arjunmohandas8870 Because i don't like cloud storage and i use my phone as my main computer. I store Movies, Tv Shows, MP3 Music, Emulators, Notes, photos basically use it as my hardrive. Money is not a issue for me so more storage the better for me. Camaras hit a point that there already good enough so if they offer the same storage as last year then why would i upgrade ? All i care about is the most storage and the screen quality which is basically the same as the s23 Ultra's screen just more brighter
