I was considering the s24 ultra. But tbh with their dirty tricks with exynos in the plus and regular model they can stick it. I'll get the OnePlus 12. I'm really hyped about the upgrades to video recording, but I have to say, the colors of the S24 lineup are a bit of a let down. I prefer much more vibrant colors. The Bay Blue on the Pixel 8 series was a fantastic color and I wish Samsung did something similar with their phones.

Its a shame that we can't do seamless zooming across all lenses at 4K120. That would have been a good reason its taken them so long, and if the video quality itself improves, that feature would have more or less made the 15 Pro Max irrelevant. Still, these two things are checked off my S24 Ultra bucket list. Other things include 8K60, but I wouldn't like to imagine the processing power you'd need for that, and switching between lenses at 8K resolution (Maybe you can? I don't think we know yet.) Also, I wouldn't mind playing with LOG video, but that isn't any kind of dealbreaker. The other thing I'm wondering is will they do an Apple and have stainless steel (or armour aluminium) with a titanium coating and say "Its made of titanium", or, due to the reduced complexity of having one model of phone, would they make the whole thing out of titanium, as it'd be easier to convince a material supplier to provide better cost per unit for this one phone.

If you put the framerate to 30fps you can change focal length. But being able to change focal lengths at 60 fps would be sick because I always shoot 4k60 on my DJI Mavic 3, Insta360 X3 and DJI Pocket 3. What I've been wanting forever is Video Night Mode.....its been lacking in samsung phones whereas other brands have had it for years. I would love to have a LOG format like it's HDR10+ or other type of LOG Format in all video modes (Normal, Pro Video, slow motion, super slow motion) to allow better color grading in post production

You do know, just in case... zooming while taking a video from 0.5 to 100 was possible before too... I hope people came up with this one. All you need then is a video editing tool and you're done. I figured it out when I just got my s20 ultra. I noticed that I can't zoom to 100 when taking a video. So I turned on the camera app and started a screen recording then simply zoomed in and out. After that it leaves you with the camera controls but you can crop it after. Did anyone else do this ? I'm curious. But yeah having said that I think this feature is great and I'll be getting the s24 ultra and leaving my s20 ultra behind

Switchinb between cemeras seems to be a software feature rather than a hardware one. So, if they fixed it for S24 Ultra, then there is no reason why it would not eventually landed on the S23U and maybe even S22U. We shall see :)

I still have my S9+ and still torn between waiting for the S24U release and significant price drop for the S23U, if however, the price drop for S23U isn't really big, I might consider the S24U, I've watched multiple review and obviously, the jump from S9+ to S24U would be really day and night. While the changes or upgrades are minimal such as camera, screen, performance (SDG3), etc, is it still worth it to wait for S24U or just grab the best deal for S23U and wait for the S25U for better trade-in deals if in case I'll upgrade again?

Why so much euphoria about it… it has the same refresh rate display as 23 ultra, same cameras more or less, same battery, same design, it has a slighty brighter display and a bit faster cpu which in dayli basis does not really mater.
