Video comparison of Music Player app and Google Play Music app which come installed with the phone by default. Both of the app have the recent versions updated while testing out in this video.

Hey there Harish, I to had a Samsung phone at one time and it was wonderful, One feature that you forgot to mention is the EQ that Samsung has built into there player , how to access that is while you have the player launched and running hit the settings button at your far left from the play button and select EQ setting this will open up another window and you have a EQ where you can either fine tune the music spectrum or select a preset option and whala! this far beats out Google's player

@jasonalexjohn if you have music already on your computer then it's just drag and drop onto phone provided you connect it using USB cable that came with phone

I was so mad when I updated Google Play Music app, but I un installed updates to factory setting and I love my player again. I know what you mean with that bug, it was so annoying, I hate this version I love the old one when you touch the screen it will show you all info, unlike the update that doesn't. that's why I hated the new version. I'm so happy I didn't accidently uninstall the whole app otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get my old version back. I am very happy having the old version

I just did this I went on google play on my computer and downloaded it to my computer also then just put it on my phone from there and that worked for me.

The Samsung music player freezes and shuts down on me all the time. The user interface is perfect but there are too many problems. I've downloaded other music players that don't freeze or give me any problems but the user interfaces on them are horrible.

thats what sucks about android. most apps are made to be compatible with all devices. whereas on iphones you get apps only for that phone that can be maxxed out. because there wont be any issues with various phones with a whole range of specs

I bought a song on the play store on my s3 but it isnt showing up in the samsung music app, only in the play music app. Is this normal and what do i have to do to see it on the samsung music app too ?

it is normal, the song isn't on your phone, u paid for access to the song, not a song download, it streams the song 2 u. if u won't believe me then turn on airplane mode and try 2 listen 2 it, it won't let u

honestly if they only made google play music look nicer. id use it more than my one x's default music app. but the one x's music app looks too much better :/ and not everyone cares about looks but i do.

with the new update from December that came out, you can play the next song, pause the song and rewind the song from the beginning.
