+Nikki Butler Yeh it will work for any of the newer devices as long as the battery cannot be removed. This applies to future unreleased versions of Samsung devices that you can get will have the same issue.

i'm having this issue on my note 5 for the last two days. I can see the notification lights and both lights at the bottom but can't see the black screen. I have a big Problem. I started to downgrade my Galaxy A3 (SM-A300FU) from Android 5.0.2 to 4.4.4. with ODIN. After some Seconds i pulled out the USB Cable from the Smartphone. Now it has only a Blackscreen, i cant turn it on !!! I tried to get in the facory reset or download mode. But nothing happens. My pc cant find the Phone, and theres not signal when i pull the USB Cable into the Phone. I think there must be a Program for it maybe. PLEASE HELP :((((

Yo Ricardo, I have a s6 edge, frozed while video talk then black screen with blue LED...I tried over and over again until it finally came on so the powered it off to let it cool down a but because it was getting hot...Left it off for about 30 minutes and now wont turn on at all and getting hot.

+Will Makaveli Sorry to hear with older devices when the battery started to get hot we would simply pull the battery but thats a no go with these new devices. You may have a defective battery. Give it some time and monitor it and try again to boot, if this persists you may need a technician to look at the battery or simply d it yourself.
