Fun fact: I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 for a short time before throwing it on the floor due to a flight simulator game (probably due to the fact that it showed "Game Over"). It was possible that it was just a bad influence from KZbin Flappy Bird phone smashing videos. My mother entered the room and gave me a dreadful punishment (which was caning) and I also got grounded. The phone did not have a screen protector when that happened, but I now realize in 2022 that even phone screens with a screen protector still break (the actual screen, not the protector). Overall, Samsung is still my favorite phone brand no matter what. However, the only downside to Samsung is that they don't have much customization features, like using custom non-Samsung fonts. If you want to have custom fonts like Arial or Comic Sans, then a different phone brand (like Huawei) would be ideal.

I think the reason why S1 and S2 survived better is because their frame is less rigid. Energy from the drop can go through the phone and releases at the back panel, which is popping off.

The Galaxy S2 reminds me of the Note 3. But the S2 you used there is a different variant, I can tell from the camera and the use of an ACTUAL home button. The common variant had 4 soft-key buttons.
