Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects!You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though!One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!

can you turn off the Magazine UX? it looks like Win 8 tiles that clutter. normal homescreen is fine for me.

Im debating between tab pro 12.2 with the new Magazine UX or the note pro 12.2. I dont want to spent a extra $100 just for the s-pen. Can the tab pro 12.2 be able to remove the magazine look and just have apps and widgets?

OMG 12.2 inches imagine the size of the box. I would love a big tablet like this one. for me it has to be big have a good camera and a good screen and have good battery life. this tab is simply perfect for me

No. The NOTE line of devices include an active digitizer in the display (it's not just a WACOM pen, it's a WACOM display). You can't just buy a Note stylus and use it on a non-note device. Personally, I type faster than I write, even on a touchscreen, and I'm not an artist - so I've never had a need for a Note device.

Felicia, internal hardware is all the same, but the display on any "Note" device is special. It is part of what makes the pen work. So aside from the pen and all its functions and uses, yes, they are the same. You can't grab an S-Pen on eBay and expect it to work with a non-Note device.

By comparison, Microsoft's new Surface Pro 3 tablet weighs 1.76 pounds. I've never really found holding a tablet of any weight to be a comfortable experience. When reading using a tablet, I prefer to do so using a stand The Samsung, even with an external Samsung keyboard, is also considerably cheaper. What you get for the extra money Microsoft demand for the Surface Pro 3 is much more storage space (up to 512GB vs. 32GB for the Samsung not including the ability to slot in a 64GB MicroSD card) and considerably more RAM (8GB vs. 3GB) and full-scale i3, i5, or i7 processors vs. Samsung's Exynos octa-core processor.

The only difference between those 2 is that you can use a stylus pen on the note Can't find something else, everything is the same in those two.

Also the Note costs $100 more than the tab 12.2 So, if he wants to use a pen the n go for note, but if you want to save some money go for the tab pro 8.4 (i hope im not too late)

Alex Platonov​- thanks for the info. Well I got him the G. Tab pro off of Groupon. He showed it to me and I asked him if he's sure that want he wanted. It was half the price because it was manufacturer refurbished. I checked it out, it came with everything and it worked good.
