I have a galaxy tab s7 and after watching this video I can say that the s7 is smoother and has better specs than the FE. Although it's an inch smaller, it doesn't feel small drawing on it. In an artist's point of view, the drawing experience is overall excellent. Clip studio paint doesn't lag on me despite painting on a 5k size canvas. And after painting for almost the whole day, I'm left with half battery life. (the s7 has better battery life than the S7+ btw) so yeah, if you dont wanna miss out on the specs, and want a cheaper price, go for the s7

@@thebradcolbow Yup! I got the Samsung keyboard case for $129... Saw a lot of positive reviews on KZbin and was excited to get one... I was let down. Overrated... The pen flap and magnets are its only redeeming qualities... Sent it back. The trackpad for me was not great, and with the keyboard not being backlit was another strike against it... The third strike was the fit. The tablet is flush in some places and sticks out offering zero side protection. The magnets were fine, but I found the back panel slid around a bit too much. Plus, it's only in one color, which lame. I expected it to be much more and was very disappointed. I ended up getting the Samsung Book Case in Mystic Navy (matches the device) and it's slim design and magnets fit and hold much better than the Keyboard Case. Maybe because it's way lighter. The panels feel nicer and the panels are thin metal covered by a much nicer PU... I then got a very nice HoneyComb Blue full wrap skin from M2Skins on Esty: www.etsy.com/listing/900587597/samsung-galaxy-tab-s7s7-wrap-around-skin Looks like this: i.etsystatic.com/25688917/r/il/4acc77/2857597936/il_1588xN.2857597936_uuq9.jpg So then, I got a keyboard. I settled on the iClever BK04 Wireless Keyboard with LED Backlight. www.amazon.com/dp/B08LD6F6MJ This keyboard is really fantastic. The only caveat is that it's a little narrower than the S7 Plus. BUT, it makes up for that with it being backlit (in many different colors) and it ATTACHES magnetically to the Samsung Book Case when in use! It also allows for the tablet to have unlimited display angles because it acts like a ridge to keep the tablet in place wherever you want it! Fantastic! Plus, it has a USB-C charging port and connects via Bluetooth, so no dongle needed. Highly recommend! imgur.com/mrTbdOH i.imgur.com/6ZRROb8.jpeg Finally, I'm a longtime Samsung tablet user. I sold my old Note Pro 12.2 recently to cover some of the costs of the S7 Plus. And I've always loved the old Samsung S Action Bluetooth Mouse (et-mp900d), that went with the Note Pro Tablets. They're just the right size for travel, and they're highly accurate. I have a bunch of them, and they work great for the S7 Plus. Best of luck!

Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though!One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. Has anyone else felt this when using this tab? I know it's got a better processor & speakers too. Mainly buying this for media consumption, to use for content while on a spinning bike, so wanted the larger screen. S7+ is $240 more at $699 @ BB, and I can't justify that for my use. My older tablet, which was a secondhand unit that I bought from eBay for less than $200, was showing its age. It was too slow for even the most basic tasks like Web browsing.

I love my Tab S6, just wish it had a 120hz refresh rate. My S20 fe has spoiled me in that respect, it's weird going back after growing used to 120hz.

nice review. I personally think this is way better compared to the Galaxy tab 6 lite in many ways. Most especially the screen size when it comes to drawing. Good catch on the 5G variant!

Having come from the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, I’m glad I traded it in for the Tab S7 FE. I went with the 6GB/128GB Wi-Fi version of the latter tablet. Needless to say, it performs better than my old tablet, thanks to the Snapdragon 778G chip. The Exynos 9611 chip on the original Tab S6 Lite just didn’t cut it for me. Although the Tab S7 FE also has an LCD screen, it’s still better than the Tab S6 Lite’s LCD screen.

The pen attaches perfectly on top if the tip is pointing to the opposite side (and also the pen should be a bit to the side). Not sure why they did that since it's weird to flip the pen if you're right-handed.

Just ordered the S7 FE in green 256 gig hopefully it should suit drawing as a hobbyist. Wanted the S7+ but was just to much of cost for me. Samsung offers veterans discount which helped out on the cost for the FE plus their offer for $80 dollars towards accessories. I am thinking of starting with Infinte Painter.

I wonder how the tab s7 FE's (or the whole S7 series for that matter) second screen feature stacks up against other drawing tablets like Wacom or Huion.

ohh nice review. might consider buying this. btw do you still have the huawei matepad pro? I think they released a 2nd generation m-pencil this year. I don't know if it's available over there, but I heard they improved the latency from 20ms to 9ms, and it's compatible with the older models. would be interesting to see how well the new one holds up

Question: I just started out learning how to draw. I have been looking at various kinds of drawing tablets to the Huion Kamvas and Intuos tablets. Is a tablet such as the tab s6 lite or a7 worth considering if I want to get into drawing, or are they only good in the sense that they're more of a jack of all trades, and not in the sense of being on par with a tablet or screen made for drawing on?
@ma_junia2 жыл бұрын
Xp pen 15.6 in is the same price as a s6 lite and on par with Wacom tablets

Just ordered one on an "early Black Friday" deal, $429CAD which is like $350USD! I missed out on a deal last year on the S6 Lite, but right now, with the deal, both are the same price so I decided to pull the trigger. Pretty much everywhere is sold out right now. Can't wait until it arrives (it's my christmas present to myself)

Samsung pulled off a dizzy for getting clip studio w/ the release of Tab s7. Here's hoping they pull off another one and grab procreate and affinity designer for Tab S8. If so, I can finally ditch my ipad pro.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE has a bigger screen than the Tab S6 Lite, thus making the former more suitable for drawing.

Lol I'm still using the Galaxy Tab S4 2018 I got 16 months ago for £300. Can't think of a good reason to upgrade any time soon, works amazingly well to this day. I don't mind the smaller screen size as I also use it as an ultra portable laptop with DEX because my gaming laptop is like 2.4 KGs, haha.

Where Im from, the Tab S7fe wi-fi 128gb /6gb ram is about 520 euro, which is great considering it has the better SoC. The S7+ however is closer to 800 euro which is quite a significant price jump. For drawing, multimedia stuff, MS Office and such and even some retro games emulation, its a great device.

Speaking of retro gaming, drawing, and multimedia, my go-to apps are ScummVM, Clip Studio Paint, and VLC Media Player, respectively.

You can def attach the pen on the side. You just have to find the right area where the magnet is strongest
@sinx2512 жыл бұрын
When you tried the magnet connection on the side for the S-Pen, you had it upside down, and that's why it was flimsy. Just pointing out an error because that could also be a deal breaker for most.
