There are actually 2 Samsung keyboard covers/cases for the S9 Ultra tablets. The slim has no trackpad for $199, and the other Samsung case (not the slim - but with track pad) is around $350.00. The more expensive one is supposed to be sturdier. Also you need either a mouse (w/ the slim) or a trackpad (with the $350.00 case) to use Dex.

Received my Tab s9 ultra yesterday, what an awsome tablet. The screen is the best. The form factor isn't as bad as some youtubers will have you think. The screen is just right for work and play. For me mostly play( movies). Lol

Alright, I got a few thoughts to share, so bear with me. First of all, full disclaimer, I just purchased the S9 Ultra, but I gotta tell you, the Lenovo tablet with the keyboard and pen look like a compelling package. If I had to choose only one device, and my options were only these two, I would probably go for the Lenovo, but I don't. And I didn't. I bought the Samsung tablet instead for three main reasons: 1. Tradeability. I've been trading-in my Samsung Folds for 4 years now, and their trade-in process is superior to any company out there, including Apple. When you trade a Macbook or an iPhone with Apple, you pay full price and then you get reimbursed to the credit card on file. Samsung, however, will give you immediate credit, and once you ship the trade-in, the credit becomes final. Just that alone is a compelling reason for me to stay within their ecosystem. Lenovo does have a trade-in program, but it's not nearly as competent and does not provide as much value on your trade-ins as Samsung. 2. I'm not going to use this as a laptop replacement so I don't need the keyboard or trackpad. I'm planning to use it as a secondary device for media consumption and travel companion and the screen seems to be a notch above the Lenovo. 3. Water resistance and durability. I looked at another KZbinr's attempt to bend it with all their might, and it never did. I was shocked and surprised that a device this thin will not bend! And one final thougt on the brick not being included. If this was your first and only device you have ever purchased, I understand why you would be upset. But both, you and I, have a full box of chargers, bricks and cables in our house, so to me it's a non-issue. Great video, great content and I definitely appreciate the unfiltered and honest take on the devices. It was so refreshing that I immediately subscribed to your channel. 😁👍👏

RE Sound: The Tab S9 Ultra is pretty loud. I find if you notch it down just a tad, turn on Atmos and make a slight adjustment in the EQ (it keeps separate settings for the different outputs.) It improves sound noticably. Either way, more than happy with it.

@RK-um9tu MacBooks don't need sound apps as their speakers are tuned to deliver from the get go. I'm a Windows guy and I can admit, MacBook speakers are fantastic. But I'm not giving up everything else I use my laptop for, for the speakers. Also, Asus get pretty damn close with their ROG laptops.

@Solidariity even the phones. I keep mine on Movie mode to widen the sound stage, and lower the upper highs to compensate for the additional high frequency curve due to the Movie setting. Sounds mint.

Man, here in Brazil, this tablet is the same price USD1.200,00, but here comes with a backlit keyboard and with touchpad and a charger with 15W in the box. I bought one of this S9 Ultra brasilian version, I will receive next week.

It's weird that Samsung has DEX mode and it works really well as a laptop replacement yet they don't give you a touchpad in the keyboard cover.

They do. This is the book keyboard cover slim. The normal book keyboard cover has a decently sized trackpad.

As a student, I have only one choice. For me, the most important thing on the tablet I'm going to buy is this: I'm looking for something I can use for a long time without slowing down. So I'm looking for something I can use for 10 years without slowing down. And the pen should have little lag time. That's why I'm stuck between 3 tablets. 1) Ipad pro m2 12.9 2) Samsung tab s9 ultra 3) Microsoft surface pro 9 Which do you think is better for long-term use?

The Samsung keyboard cases are overpriced, but the case with the track pad and backlight is a must with the ultra tab.

When you drop 1k+ on a device, referring to a key component as "not necessary" is not what comes to anyone's mind. Especially since ideally you'd want to have a Samsung charger with it and not everyone has a Samsung device (believe it or not majority don't have one).

​@@neetop1557 why do you want a Samsung charger? I have a 100W charger from a different brand and it charges the Tab S8 ultra at least as fast a their official 45W one, for a similar price. At 100W it also charges most laptops and it has multiple ports, so it's more useful than the Samsung one. If they included a charger in the box it would be for sure the 25W one at most, and it would charge the tablet painfully slow.

@@neetop1557 I understand what you say, but what I mean is that unless they provide you with a decent one you're better off buying one yourself from a different brand. They could very well include a good charger for that price, and in fact it's part of their presale promotional package where I live (here they include the 45W charger, the bookcover keyboard with trackpad and a cheap little mouse, for "free"), but we all know that wouldn't be the case because they sell those chargers and they are expensive.
