Moving all those apps in deep sleep (except the ones you need notifications from) does not affect user experience at all but saves a LOT of battery. Sometimes it doesn't turn off background mobile data/battery usage by itself, so I do it manually. Turning off wifi when leaving home/work (can be done with Routines) also helps as phone constantly scans for networks.

@@captainfach The battery is fine so far, I'm not an intensive user so usually it lasts me a bit more than 1 day. I'm limiting to 85% most of the time, have Galaxy Max Hz to lower the refresh rate to 48Hz and currently I'm experimenting with a lower resolution. I'm also using CoverScreen OS to open apps in the cover screen, and that seems to save battery as well. So far I am impressed :)

I've been doing the 85% charge and that's just even worse.. absolutely brutal battery life!! What's the point in having an £800 phone if u have to constantly worry about ur battery and turn all the £800 features off or into sleep all the apps etc...

I put the word scanning in the settings search and disabled all of the Bluetooth and wifi scanning on my Fold 3 and getting about an extra hour of on screen time. Might not work for everyone but worth a try as long as it doesn't have a huge effect on your daily use requirements.

@@TechnicallyTee Definitely! For average or casual users, they'd be forgiven for not realizing what modern devices do in the background. Also, setting up an auto restart and optimizing routine once a week while on charge and while you're asleep keeps things running smooth and efficiently too. It's a shame we have to tweak these settings in the very beginning but it's a tiny sacrifice of time that has a big bonus effect over longer periods. On wifi, heavy gaming for an hour and the rest streaming videos I can get near to the 7 hour OST mark. On 5G I can squeeze about 5 hours depending on how long I'm in standby before charging. Right now I'm looking at 10 hours since my last charge, 2.5hrs SOT and 60% left. I'm definitely happy to leave the house without worrying about charging until the evening. This on the Fold 3 though. Being able to save some battery using the smaller screen when low on charge is very convenient!

Ultimately without knowing the result of the battery life after all this, there is no take away from this video for an aspiring buyer. These tips more or less most Android users already knew and there are ton of other videos which have already done this stuff but no one has showed the result for the aspiring buyer to decide whether to buy or not. Wish you've shared the screenshots showing how long it lasted with SoT. (Regardless of whether you pay attention to SoT or not as there are tons of audience those who pay attention ONLY to SoT).

Different apps, different cellular signal, different use cases. Sure there are Android users that already know these things but how many users that coming from Apple who doesn't? Haircut....I'm doing good so far. I actually went on a mini road trip ths morning and streamed music for a Good 3 hours or more straight and when I got home I was sitting at 78%. I also took a few phone calls and checked social.media and emails a few times in between. For me this battery is doing a lot better for me than my 12 mini
