Samsung Gear Fit 2 wont charge!!!🤬🤬(How I fixed it)

After a few weeks of frustration trying to get my Samsung Gear Fit 2 to work, I finally got it going. Battery has been dead for years. 😶😶

I was skeptical about this, as I tried both cleaning the contacts with an eraser, q tip, press the contacts on and on, button configs, then tried this last step before ordering a new battery. But after about five minutes, the Fit started charging. I guess on YT, there are some valuable pointers; not just click bait. Thanks man.

I've been trying to get mine to work for MONTHS. Cleaned, took apart, reset, took it in for service. This is the ONLY thing that has worked. I cleaned the contacts multiple times thinking that maybe the watch was just done for. The "jumping" was perfect. Thank you so much sir!

OMG...I'm so glad I found your video because my gearfit was dead as a doorknob. I sat there and did what you said over and over again and the charge sign would come on for a millisecond longer each time until it suddenly started charging! It's a miracle. Thanks heaps! 😊

The last time I used mine was 4 years ago, and I saw another video on how to recharge it. Then after a month or two it stopped. And tried the same thing but pressing the on button did not work. Yours came up and when you mentioned 'jump start' that clicked. So, I tried it. After less than 5 tries of taking it off and putting it back on ....the lightning remained and now its working! I've had mine since they first produced it, with the same charger too. I've only replaced the straps and its been through ALOT of sports usage. Thanks for this most useful piece of info. You helped 'relit' my gear friend again....hopefully for longer this time!

I tried cleaning the contacts as well, nothing. This worked fantastically, only took about 10 or 15 times, removing and re-seating on the charger. Thank you sir!

you are literally a life saver. I put mine in for a trade in and when it came to charge it up to factory reset it NOTHING worked. i panicked because I knew there would be a fine for sending back a useless device (baring in mind this device was in excellent condition, just not used for about a year) so I tried everything.... Amazing mate. whoever finds this out is a real genius. I was trying for hours to get this working and then stumbled over your video. Another tip I can add is that in every try press the power button 10 times to have the battery reset. This way every try would bring a flash symbol once and disappear, after 15 to 20 tries you will get the charging status

I can't put in words how crazy it is, but after all tutorials about it, button combination, quick twists, hit combos, what really worked at my Gear fit2 PRO were this video steps... Actually, it didn't take 5 minutes... As soon as the lightning symbol appeared, I quickly take it off the charger, and put it back again, and then, the lightning appeared again, but this time, it didn't disapper... So... Lots of "thank you!" to you, sir, for sharing this trick. Save me a bunch of money and time.

I just bought a mint condition 'dead' gear fit2 off ebay for £12. Tried this out and sure enough, after a few minutes I started to get the odd flash for a second, then eventually the flash stayed on and it went to 1% and started charging! Thank you so much, a nice cheap new gear fit on my wrist 🤩

This happened to me last year, found your video which was the only solution and it worked. Just happened again to me as I haven't used my watch in over a month. I was like where is that guy's video lol and darn if I didn't find your video, did the 5 minutes of on and off and it's charging! No way would I start taking it apart. So yeah, let me go ahead and jump on the comment train here and tell you that I appreciate your video, even 5 years later it works. My fit 2 got pretty wet probably more than it should have and stopped working altogether, I thought it was done and was about to order another. After a few weeks I plugged it in just to see and it came on which was awesome but then it said "can't charge". I tried it a few times and nothing, watched your video and BOOOMMMM!!! Rapidly clicking it in and out of the charger (mine is different than the one in the video, like a little clip with only two contacts) maybe 100 times and the warning went away and now it's charging. Thanks!I had forgotten about this trick when I had the first Gear fit (same issue) its been awhile.Bought new one Gear fit 2 today and right out of the box wouldnt charge.Finally got it charging.Sad Samsung is still having charging issues with these.Planning on flipping it and this has reassured and gives me confidence that it works before selling it.Yes I always test items before selling even new.
