good job, well done man i remember having a samsung phone back in 2012-2013 or something i could just take out the battery and have it replaced so easily without having to go to a phone technician

The problem with that was that the system couldn't track you and spy on you constantly, and also you might extend the life of your phone. How much happier it makes them to sell you another $1500 phone with a non-removable battery.

They realized replacing batteries was a good money maker that also shortens the life of the phone, forcing you to buy another. But the added benefit is that phones now are water resistant and those old user replaceable battery ones were not.

Hello, I recently replaced my battery with a after market one and the phone booted up just fine and worked perfectly but after a software update the screen won't turn on anymore. I can feel the phone vibrate when I hold down the power button so it does have power going to it. Can the phone recognize the after market battery and just not display anything after it recognizes it's not an official Samsung battery?

Doh! Now my screen is black. It is still touch sensitive and I can fully control the phone by hooking it up to a TV and using a Bluetooth mouse and Keyboard. The pen works on the screen as well. Everything works except the screen being black. It worked fine after the battery swap. Used it for a few hours. Charged it via wireless charging at night. Woke up and the screen was blank. I tried reseating the connectors several times and nothing will get the screen back. I've fixed tons of phones and this is a first. I see a bunch of black screen issues online but non of the solutions have worked. I even put the original battery back but no go. Any advice?

don't heat the device through the screen-it may get a green line and then you will have to replace the screen for your expense

A green line in the screen is usually caused by damage to the bottom of the screen, not caused by heat. During screen refurbishment, the screen is heated to approx 110c for minutes at a time. Heat is not your issue :)

it is okay to upgrade the battery from regular 4500mAh to 5000mAh? I bought an used Note 20 Ultra with 80% battery life and its drain fast (around 3-4 hours playing), so what do you think? It's compatible? (the sides of the phone were with glue, like they worked inside the phone)
