I just purchased an MSI mag274qrf-qd,, however the next monitor on my radar is an Ultra wide one such as this one, hopefully prices will have dropped by then. How is the motion blur in Tac shooters such as Valorant, and CS, and have you had a chance to play Apex Legends on it?

What do you think about buying this now vs just waiting for a newer 49inch? I got the Neo G9 for $1k (50% Black Friday deal) but if I wait, I could probably get the MSI 491C which is OLED and I think Samsung is coming out with a new 49inch later in 2023.

That's exactly what I'm struggling with too. At the AMD GPU presentation recently they showed the new Samsung Neo G9 (Yes same name and 49" too) but with 8k (2x 4k) and DP2.1! Would like to pair it with a RX 7900 xtx.

Same issue i had yesterday. As i saw them both in the store. I liked the ark more. I played battlefield. But then i thought about the long run. Ark is good for like few mins. But here you will sit infront of the monitor for hours. So fo the sake of my eyes i chose neo g9.

@@Suleei First off not saying your wrong at all but I think it all comes down to what your used to. I have played on triple screen since the first video card NVIDIA had to support it the 690 in 2012 . Then I got the Samsung 49" CHG90 QLED Gaming Monitor 144Hrz 1ms screen when it came out in 2019 and never went back to triple monitors. My point is for me I am very used to big screens as its been ten years for me so adding more screen is not or should not be a issue at all for me. But to be fair it could even take me some time to get used to that much screen time will tell as my monster comes today. I do recall in 2012 it did take me a few weeks to fully get used to gaming on triple screens but the 49 in curved was no big deal was just really happy to ditch triple screens. And for me at this point I have zero interest in turning the arc screen into cockpit mode my baby will be just for gaming.

32:9 aspect r. yes but the tech is nowhere near as good as on 1k$ TVs. if you can pair that with refresh rate and low latency gg. but ye 32:9 a.s. offer something new depending on what you are doing, for documentation and coding it's def a bad one if you need verical real estate, but as a multitasking display it's great, to watch content like YT TIKTOK having discord on one side and playing a game on the other or in the middle is quite good. basically what 32:9 does, is help you remove the additional displays and cables, making it more clean, if you can pair that with another display in vertical position for whatever for you needed it for, i think it's a creat combination, let's say entertainment, content creation / development (coding, modeling) , gaming and trading, then the two monitor set up 27/32" with 49" makes a lot of sense But if you prefer wathcing movies as well, without an additional tv in another room then 49" is very lame, then going for a TV or another 34" 4k display or ARK now makes more sense. so i'd go ark since i do trading, watching entertainment like netflix and yt, and doing coding and stuff, something like ARK solves a lot of my problems if my main priority is just gaming and streaming being on YT and discord, boi 49" is the best option for me then
