Have this monitor for a few months now. Its great. One thing I dont like is if you are using it in a room with a TV (I have a Samsung TV near my monitor) it will pick up all IR remote control devices within 20 feet and theres no way to go around this unless you physically block the IR receiver on the monitor (I used a piece of aluminum foil cover) so be aware of that if you are putting it in a living room. Otherwise its amazing. Love the OLED.

That is one silly thing to not include on a brand new top of the line - 'more expensive than a 65" OLED TV' - monitor, you're right. Same as with the other G9's. You can do 5120x1440 at 240Hz with DSC though, yeah. But, wouldn't it be nice if you didn't have to compress it purely for the sake of compressing it.

If your video card is not up to it don’t bother. However if you have a gaming rig this is the one. I have no issues on web browsers reading text either. People complained about that. I saw zero issues. It’s beautiful. Even the speakers are fine. The backlighting is cool too it must be activated in the games menu. Overall great item.

Most modern games offer 32:9 support right out of the box. Others you can simply play pillar-boxed at the normal aspect ratio. There's a ton of versatility in these monitors, but yes, newer games benefit more from it. Older games may have 32:9 support but you might notice a "fish-eye" effect on the left and right sides. This can be remedied by jacking up the FOV to maximum in most games. That being said.......you'll get used to it within a week and it won't be noticeable anymore.

Just more truer darks, coming from someone with the original odyssey g9 49" monitor to the OLED. Main difference is the dark colors, its a noticeable difference, the base space it takes is a smaller area and the black brick that comes with it. However with the original g9, it looked more "gamer" (back LED colors are brighter and cooler looking/white, and it was a bit brighter than this OLED and I have the settings at max. I can tell due to my room being dark most of the time. The OLED suffers from brightness when comparing to the original g9 49". The OLED looks more "office-y".
