Could you put the G9 Neo and G9 OLED side by side and compare them? There are some comments on Reddit suggesting that the differences are not obvious or like night and day when directly compared (a lot of G9 Neo aspects are better). The first impression is often the strongest, where you may notice small improvements that seem gigantic. However, over time, perceptions can change, leading to doubts about whether your initial opinion was correct.

Just bought this a week ago. Love it so far, agree with having to slightly adjust when viewing either side of the monitor, but the only complain I have is the remote NOT having a source button. I have to manually change it and it makes it feel more like a TV than monitor.

What does “not support clear text” mean exactly?
@kingdoz4 ай бұрын
He asked a genuine question that still has no answer out there so unless you buy it you won’t know and could waste a lot of money. I think he meant the setting on windows called clear text with a tick box that makes text a bit smoother by smoothing extra pixels around letters that makes text less harsh in certain environments when using resolutions that are not native (example such as Remote Desktop and you resizing the window so it squeezes all text in to a different size than it would normally show). I also heard the Oled may still have an issue with this clear text meaning text just is not sharp sometimes, a deal breaker for productivity use, but perhaps this could have been fixed somehow. Anyone can clarify if tested recently?

5:49 I'm not an expert, but I think that it's not the monitor manufacturers issue but it's the display port or HDMI limitations in bandwidth. I think to run the 5125 by 1440 monitor at 240 Hertz. You need more than 50 gigabytes of bandwidth and display port 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 don't have the bandwidth to process that. I believe display port 2.0 does have the bandwidth, but I don't believe many video cards have display port 2.0 right now. I know the RTX 4090 video card from Nvidia still using display for 1.4.

I presume this video is for the niche audience that already have a 49" Ultra widescreen. Sitting on a WQHD, hard to see what the benefit of this screen is aside from more screen real estate for work. But then again, is it really THAT much more useful? Isn't it redundant when you play games which only support up to WQHD in the vast majority of cases?

Quite a few of the big titles support the extra space, and with a wider FOV. And yes, I’d say it’s well worth it over multiple screens. I’d much rather have this, than 2x 27” 4K displays. Personal preference of course!
@inconvenientfacts58 Жыл бұрын
I'd say this review is for those who don't have a 49" ultrawide, because those who do (like myself) are debating whether it is worth an upgrade on OLED alone. Whereas every other user will have more dimensions for change. I've also tried multiple screens. I have no idea why people prefer that over a single ultra or super ultra wide. The extra connections, the reliance on desktop software, the bugs, the bezel, the mouse issues moving between screens. Ugh.
