I don't know if it's just me finding the screen a bit dim on certain games with contrast enhancer off? Found I needed it on low on resident evil 7 to be able to see enemies approaching from darker areas, and in general the screen was a bit underwhelming. I had my TV calibrated recently and the guy was also a gamer. Your SDR was spot on. for HDR you were extremely close but he told me to try the following. So i figured I would share for you to try. Set your clicks for PS5 as follows: 9 clicks for the first, 20 clicks for the second and 0 for last. Also on the TV for HDR raise the color to 29 and tint to G2. That will adjust color saturation to match the brightness and contrast you gave. It’s just a suggestion. The reason first is set to 9 is because the white point is around 400 and second is 20 for 2000 HDR brightness. The TV recent update changed the brightness in game mode to 1615. But to get that you gave to set above because the curve will drop before it reaches 2000 to about the 1615 range.so any fames that ask for peak set to 2000 but it will only reach the TV max. My games look fantastic now thanks to you and to him

When I'm in a menu/loading screen or similar, where most of the screen is black and just some of the text is white, the whole image goes suuuper dim. I can barely see what I'm doing. Local dimming low/standard/high makes no difference. Also, it ruins the colours, green text in Tales of Arise just becomes grey. again, contrast enhancer/contrast settings make no difference. When I press the home button and the menu pops up at the bottom, image becomes nice and bright and the text becomes bright green.

You can kill tone mapping, by watching a sdr video on KZbin from the TV directly. If you watch anything hdr on the TV itself, it'll add it back on. So watch a vid on the TVs KZbin, and then go directly to your console, hdr calibration should work now. Mines usually 1 click on black and 14 on both of the white screens. @@TechWithKG ahhhhhaaaa!! Nice bro, I tried ur settings and I definitely notice a pop with colors, and essentially a crisper image, the only difference I did, was make brightness to 30 instead of 50, but I'm digging the settings, and I've been cool with my settings for years, cuz before this QN85A I had KS8000 ,but I'm satisfied with what I see thanks big homie! God bless and keep up the good work bro.

Hi everyone, I am wondering why does Netflix stay in Game mode yet games that are like GTA 5 switch to movie mode instead of staying in game mode? Is there a reason for this?? I don't want Netflix on PS5 to stay on game mode while games like GTA 5 for example switch to movie mode. I have game mode set to auto.

ALLM which is the auto mode isn’t always doing it’s job (on all TVs) it’s best to just use the Netflix app on the Samsung

It’s a shame HGIG is still not fixed. I believe Samsung doesn’t have any plans on fixing it.

me to contrast enhancer off always HDR/SDR local dimming HIGH or Standard, probably Standard
@TechWithKG3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I find Standard to be best on QN90A but High to be best on the Q90T after the update but I don’t know if that’s still the case on the QN90A with newer firmware.

Deff not the settings you wanna use for apex if your on q70a. Seem like they're probably good for cod though
@rick3302 жыл бұрын
Why not? I had a q70a and raising gamma and lowering brightness give it some amazing more 3 dimensional type picture in HDR.

@@rick330 I don't even remember the issue I had bro. It's been months since I even played
@rick3302 жыл бұрын
@@douglasw5758 it's possible apex wasn't even in HDR back then.
