This video was tremendously helpful in uncovering the mystery behind the panels. We were nervous to unscrew too many screws until we saw this video. We removed all the screws, panels, and got the rear of the fridge and discovered a horror. We found LAYERS and huge chunks of ice that built up over the last 3 years. It was really, really bad. We could not believe it. We thought we had properly de-iced it previously but we didn't because there was so much ice we could not see. After we removed the panels did we realize how badly the ice build up was. We literally had to chisel chunks of ice away to get it all out. If we had let it de-ice, it probably would have taken 2-3 days! Tremendously helpful video and it saved us a $180 bill that a guy gave an estimate to remove the ice. It was outrageous. I paid him the service call fee and decided to take care of it myself.

Super video. Freezer was working but not fresh food section, After thawing out coils all is well! Also fan had ice around it which might have been impeding flow to refrigerator.

How much should it cost to have a repairman come out to repair a Samsung RB195bsbbxaa evaporator motor.I have been quoted $279 which think is a bit high,the part only costs between $38-$49

man the things are in that way ....is not the cost of the spare part, it is all behind of this , years of school ,certifications, experience , to find out the issue etc... we pay for a service ...this man just tell you how replace the part but do you know how was the diagnosis ? ... greetings

I have a samsung rs261mdwp that is not cooling on fridge side but the freezer side is working. Tried unplugging, waiting and plugging back in. I hear ticking from board and fridge turns on. The fan works on the bottom by the compressor, the compressor is warm to hot. One of the lines from the compressor is kinda cold and the other is warm. When I opened the panel where the motherboard is it smelled burnt. Normal?? I have removed the ice tray and the backing in the freezer to get to the thermistor and checked-5 ohms and when placed in hand goes down, the thermistor in the panel for at the top left of freezer has same numbers 5.?? and goes down when held in hand. When I removed the backing in the freezer section the ice build up on the front and behind the plastic panel was a lot. The coils and Thermistor was covered in ice. I am at a loss of what else to check at this point. Could it be a starter relay or the motherboard. I don't have the money the purchase a new fridge let alone pay some guy to check it out and then jack the price of his service call and the parts. Any help would be appreciated. to add the compressor is making a humming noise. I now have the freezer apart and have access to the upper thermistor, lower thermistor. I have the lower panel on back open to see compressor and the mother board open to troubleshoot there as well. I can send pics and video if necessary.

I have the same problem but test the sensor and it gave me reading 1 ohms in cold and in hot 2 to 3

How do you test this to know this is the problem? I have this same problem and I have no money for a repair man I have check everything and I think this may be the problem. My freezer works then stops working and when I defrost everything it works great for 2 days then the fridge starts warming up. The fan in the freezer works works so I know its not that.
