I want to be able to use multiple smartphones, one at a time but have them synced with each other so that the pictures, calls and texts are all kept organized as one. I can't find a video of anyone doing this. I can't be the only person who wants to be able to do this. Why? If it's a Samsung phone all you have to do is use smart switch. It will transfer all the settings. But you'll have to re log into all the apps. Unless you use smart passwords by Samsung which will store them all.

I am going to transfer everything from an old S20+ to a new S21+ with a capacity of 128GB, however, the SD card on my S20+ is 256GB. @@jbox8450 took out my SD card and put it afterward in the other phone. As for the chrome it has to be synced in their cloud before. If it is, yeah it transfers when loading back your Google Account.

It was going well but it stopped at 60.7% and it's been there for a long time. I'm transferring from my S8 to the S21. It's been doing it for at least an hour so I'm not sure if something's wrong with it. It's stuck in apps and app data, and already did messages. Should I wait or click stop? And if I click stop will it be able to pick up where it left off? 😅

There was no mention of any prep work needed for both phones prior to starting the smart switch copy (other than connecting the new phone to a power source and network connecting or pairing). Otherwise, run smart switch pretty much with the new phone right out of the box?

Excellent video, most helpful. Having just done this with my new S20+ and the phone having used the sim card from the shop whilst the PAC was transferring my old number, the settings, 'about phone' is showing 'Unknown' as the phone number. It previously had a number attributed to the initial sim card from the shop. What do I need to do to show my previous number? Anything t do with switching sim cards??

The first time I used Smart Switch I used the cable. Then decided to transfer a couple of games, but forgot to hook up the cable. And it did it wirelessly. Talk about your happy accidents. They named it right.

I believe if the data is on the SD card then it wont just transfer over. Its more so that storged on the phone. Once you put your SD in then whatever pictures are on them will be there.

Select the data while transferring that is the best way. You can still do it by unticking what you already transferred and tick only the data you want to transfer.

It was a headache when I bought my S22 Ultra. Upgrading from S10 Plus. I did this method and I had about 100 GB of videos with mostly 4K videos at 60 fps. I left it the whole night and it still didn't complete the transfer. I gave up and canceled the whole thing and redo it without the videos. I transferred the videos to my PC first via USB-C and repeated this method again within only minutes without video files. Then I transferred the videos from PC to new phone. Easier that way!

if this helps i found this statement, "To use a smart switch you need connectivity between the 2 phones. If the connectivity is through bluetooth then no sim card is required. If the connectivity is through wifi from one of the phones you just one with a sim card."

Hi Jimmy! Thanks for the video. I have TWO old phones, an S6 and an I phone 7. My new phone is an S20 FE. The contents of the S6 went into my new S20 FE really easily. What will happen if I try to dump the I phjone 7 into the S20FE now? Will it erase what I already transferred from the S6?

I have got the samsung galaxy a12 internal memory 64gb but I have a 128gb micro sd card in that phone , I am upgrading to the Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra with the internal memory of 256gb . App data, not really. Just the way it is. Cached to a phone. Unless there's a log in and saved progress like from facebook

For whatever reason, it is taking forever when I try helping someone do a switch like this. Basically around the same amount of transfer data, and it was still around 32% after about 6-7 hours. We have canceled and will try moving of the camera data to a computer first. We used the wireless technique shown here with the latest version of samsung smart switch. Maybe I should try using the cable instead...

I have moved over from Optus to Vodaphone as my A50 got very wet in a storm and now the touch screen is not working. Vodaphone has already put my Vodaphone SIM card in my new A52s 5G phone with my phone number. I have my old A50 phone with the Optus SIM card still in it (however my number is not linked anymore. To control and unlock my phone I will get a ALOGIC 15cm Super Ultra USB 3.1 USB-C to USB-A Adapter so I can attach with a wireless mouse to control my phone and get into Smart Switch to transfer my data from my A50 to my new A52s 5G.

I did this and it work about 60 percent. I have everything on my sd card which is in my old phone. My biggest concern was with the Samsung Music player. All my Playlists are there BUT all the songs are missing except a few songs i had on the internal storage which i sent from my old samsung phone to the new one. So most of my playlists are empty except for a few of them with have one or two songs in then. I tried to resolve this problem by inserting the SD card into my new phone but NOTHING. They are still empty! Yes the sd card is detected but all my Playlists on Samsung Music app (my favorite music app) are missing songs. All of them except for the few on the internal storage. I have hundreds of playlists, and thousands of songs! That's why i keep almost everything on my sd card so i can easily swap over my media without having to wait downloading or transfering stuff. Plus all my music won't even fit in my internal storage (64GB). My SD card has 120GB of data I'vd used! How do i fix the playlists problem? I can't go song per song, playlist to playlist, I would take at least a year to do that!
