TLDR; UE50NU7400U worked by covering pin 17 and 18. First tried 13 through 18 as shown in video - stopped flickering but had a dead part of the screen. Tried 1 through 6 to see what happened - no picture at all. 7 through 12 - original horizontal flicker plus vertical red flicker. 13 and 14 - original horizontal flicker 15 and 16 - original horizontal flicker 17 and 18 - flicker gone Just 17 - original horizontal flicker Just 18 - original horizontal flicker

I have this model. I tried pin 17/18... seemed fine and normal for 20 mins. I then put it all together and it started to flicker again. Any further help?

I found the spot that needs covering for the jumping, but I’m getting these purple horizontal lines all over the screen. sometimes they’ll burn off, but then they just come back.

I have a series 7 and I tried covering pins 13-18, 14-26 and other combinations with 4mm tape but just got a blank screen after tape. With a bit of reading and trial and error I managed to fix it by taping just pin 17&18 🙌🏻

@@clbr4458 Samsung TV repair shop service center told me that tape method for fleckering issue will not totally solve the problem. The main problem of flecking is the panel itself.

​@@frederik301watch the video carefully. it is already written at the most point you have to cover it. Put a piece of 4 mm tape after count 12 lines. Try an other point if it not put correct

Wow thank you. This worked for me. No more flickering. Pins 13-18 worked but needed to fiddle with the tape with trial and error as tape was cut a little too long. Overall definitely worth a try before you throw in a towel.

I just did one UE50RU7172, came here to thank. On this model it started on pin 13, but i needed to cover next 12pins, 6mm of tape. You can check the board, that the traces look the same and the next different was with a 0 ohm resistor, do not cover that one anymore.

Well, it was great for a while but I kept messing with it. I thought maybe I could improve picture quality a little bit more. I must have touched something I shouldn't have. Afterwards there was a black line down the side of the screen. Like dead pixels. I should have left it alone after I originally fixed it. If it works the first time just leave it alone is my advice...

It was the same pins! I used the magnifier app on my Iphone 13 so I could see what I was doing. I cut the tape to 4mm and then colored it with a black marker so it would stand out. The top ribbon cable did not fix the problem, but the one below did fix the problem.
