9:13 that is what mine looked like on my front loading Samsung. Replaced the broken disgusting bracket, bolts, bearings/seal, and gave the inner/outer tub a much needed good cleaning. Fortunately there are plenty of resources to guide this repair. On this top loader the most difficult part looks like removing the cover after the bolt is out to access it.

@bensappliancesandjunk3 ай бұрын
Hey everyone, if you found that the springs are the problem, we developed a damping grease to solve the problem without buying new rods. We'll be releasing a new video on it, but here's the stuff: bens-appliances.com/products/bounce-b-gone-washing-machine-suspension-grease-ba-80048
@keithcossu14032 ай бұрын
Thank you for the advise and guidance @bensappliancesandjunk. I replaced all 4 suspension rods, about 10 months ago, but the bouncing and slamming is back. I've confirmed the washer is balanced and will check under the agitator for any hidden damage as you noted at the tail-end of this video but the unit is only 4 years old (WA41A3000AW). We're a family of 4, avg. 6-8 loads per week, but never load past the 1/2 way to 3/4 way point on the drum depending on the what it is (i.e., towels we will never fill the drum more than half way). My hack, let the bouncing/slamming happen twice, once after the initial wash cycle and then after the rinse cycle, then power-off the unit before the spin cycle starts and/or the HOT/WARM Flashing error code is flashed. I then reposition all the laundry, choose the rinse + spin cycle on the dial, hold down the water level button to enable the "spin only" mode and pray! If at any point I hear some knocking or the water kick on, I stop and reposition the load and try "spin only" mode again. Yes monster PITA!!! I'm considering replacing the suspension rods again, maybe going for the OEM parts vs. Amazon knock-offs and will pick-up a can of the bounce-be-gone to better my odds, but can you help me determine if there is a calibration step I'm missing? In all my research, for the WA41A3000AW model, there isn't a way to perform said task. Thank you in advance for your help and time!!!

@@keithcossu1403 the amazon rods are your issue. They have insufficient damping agents to keep the unit from bouncing. @@bensappliancesandjunk Thank you! I sent a note to the team asking for guidance on which rods from the site I should purchase that best support my Samsung washer (WA41A3000AW). In the parts manual for my unit, Samsung references two rod models DC97-16350S & DC97-16350T, which I believe have been replaced w/ DC97-16350C, which I believe is also compatible with w/ DC97-16350U. Which replacement rods would you recommend? My game plan...start fresh! Replace the rods with the ones you sell + purchase the grease for added insurance to hopefully resolve this issue for several years. Thank you again for the support!

I flip appliances for side hustle. If you are stuck with a Samsung and can't afford something else. clean them once a year by pulling the top off, get all the hair , soap junk , and pull up agitation plate to clean . There's so much crap gets trapped that can rot the metal. spray water proof rust converter to keep the metal from falling apart. And get anti vibration pad so the washer doesn't destroy it's self on a less forgiving hard floor when spinning. And do not fill the washer up with heavy full loads , do half loads so to put less strain On the motor, agitator and suspension. If you baby a Samsung it can last till you can afford something else.
@portable_wall92222 жыл бұрын
That's one of the older Samsung washers that had the recall on it for it coming apart during the spinning. You can see the new hooks for the lid have been installed on it. On almost all those machines I've installed the recall kit on the dampers were all shot. Luckily they give a 1yr recall warranty after installing it.
@bensappliancesandjunk2 жыл бұрын
I knew the hooks were from the recall, but Im surprised the shocks were bad on this one if they were swapped when the recall repair was done, but it was super nasty underneath anyway

Mine was part of the recall too. Some time later my rods needed replaced. My husband was having trouble figuring out how to get the lid off. I put the metal cover back on and pushed the dryer back to the wall and it stopped heating up now when I tried it again? Do you have any ideas sir what could be the problem? Can’t afford a new dryer. In the bedding cycle the washer makes weird screeching noises and now on the heavy duty cycle it refuses to spin the clothes out. Is there a procedure to calibrate the washer after changing the rods? Every video I see has a button Delay Start in the procedure but these types of Samsung washers don’t have that.
@leeday21833 ай бұрын
To run Calibration Mode, follow these steps: 1. Remove laundry or any contents in the machine. 2. On the WA456, press the Delay Start and Eco Plus buttons simultaneously, and then press the Power button. On the WA422 or WA400, press the Delay Start and Pre Soak buttons simultaneously, and then press the Power button. The machine turns on. (Machine has to be off first before you press the buttons.) 3. Press the Start/Pause button to activate “Calibration Mode”. 4. The pulsator rotates clockwise and counterclockwise for approximately 1 minute. 5. When “Calibration Mode” is finished, “End” (WA456*) / “En” (WA422*, WA400*) appears on the display, and the machine automatically turns off. The washing machine is now ready for use.

I sent them back , they were junk ,Amazon tried to sent me the white recall rods , the picture on Amazon sale was pink top rods . Yeah they are junk , the tub was hanging over an inch lower than the worn out rods. ,to anyone who has replaced the rods and the unbalancing is worse the tops are white in color and thinner a rod . Send them back , get the pink oem ones. Also I recommend buying some thick foam , and tape them behind each new rod to the rod use duct tape on rods to make the tub more stable ,also use some clear packing tape to seal the top cover on to the body , if it's a clip on . Or it could fly off , during unbalanced spin. And could cut the wires and start a fire .
