Pump won’t empty - not draining
As usual with these error codes for not draining the first thing to do is check the pump filter but, on Samsung washing machines, the drain pump itself is often faulty. When replacing the drain pump there are two basic options, the genuine one from Samsung which is available from us or, the cheap version which is essentially the same pump from this link, for about a half of the price of the drain pump with a Samsung part number on it.

5E problem. A very BIG thank for your video. it saved me couple of hundreds AUD$$$. It really helped when you said that the drain motor fan should freely move and I found a small clip stopping it from rotating. I thank you, kind sir, for your in-depth analysis of the error. The manual just mentions the 5E is related to drainage issues and suggests cleaning the filter, which I did, but that didn't solve the problem. I certainly will not attempt to mess with the electrical, but I will try to check the pipe from the drum to the pump. I will share this channel to 100 people if that solves my problem.

I had to modify the electric connections since the replacement pump had a different layout and they would not fit otherwise. Apart from that, no problems. Thank you very much!

Thanks for your help i gained access to the drain pump and found a cocktail stick jamming it and stopping it from rotating,all fixed now,thank you

You can take out the pump by removing the underside of the machine. It's much easier and faster and you only have to remove the metal underside of the machine.

Yes it's really much faster if you just remove the underside :) just Exchange the pump in maybe 5-10 minutes. Thanks for the advice

Didnt know about that big cork. Wouldnt it be easier to do this project from the underside with the machine on its back instead of removing the back, top, and front to get to the pump?

Once I had terrible trouble with similar pump. It was spinning fine from the external power, but didn't drain any water because damn impeller itself was just slipping lose on the shaft!

Hello I have a problem with my j843 front loader washing machine. It will start ok and work through the cycle but gets to different points and stops for a long period of time. Some lights flash on the display like it is trying to do something (symbols that indicate the drum moving to side or something. I’m not sure what they are but can provide photos and videos). I watched the video kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3u7lGVumdZlg7c and changed out the drain pump which didn’t work for this issue, and changed the electronic control panel for another secondhand one thinking it was that but that does the same.
