Hi Sam. You missed one important detail when grinding your expensive wagyu. After you drop the last pice of meat inside, add some white bread and continue grinding until the bread starts coming out. The bread pushes the remaining wagyu through the grinder without wasting it. Easier to clean later too.

As a former McD’s employee way back in the day in high school and college, we were told that the cheese went over the lettuce and onions in an effort to hold the lettuce on. I was there when the burgers sat in the hearing bin for at least fifteen minutes. Haha I worked there through hs and college and have never eaten a Big Mac or filet o fish.

Made my first ever Wagyu burgers yesterday. I made homemade burger sauce too which was similar to yours. I used sweet pickles because we didn't have any dills and I added a pinch of minced garlic. Melted jalapeno jack cheese on the burgers, sweet heat BBQ sauce, fresh iceberg lettuce, grilled onions with buttered and toasted brioche sesame seed buns. It was tremendous!

Howdy Sam! Thank you for this video, I appreciate a good burger and the Big Mac just doesn't cut it for me. Using Wagyu beef is certainly one way to do it, showing how "minimal" the McD's patty size and use of pickles was, then making them bigger. Creating your "special sauce" made my day. No worries about using a store bought bun, I use them daily. Take care.
