Come join us for a yurt tour in Kyrgyzstan by Issyk-Kul Lake as we stay overnight in Kyrgyz yurt at Bel Tam Yurt Camp located on the outskirts of Bokonbayevo. When traveling to Kyrgyzstan one of the ultimate experiences you can have as an adventure traveler is to experience living in a yurt. You'll have an opportunity to do this on overnight trekking or hiking experiences in Kyrgyzstan but you also can experience an overnight stay in Kyrgyz yurt at a camp.
This particular yurt camp was our home for four nights as we used it as a base to explore in and around Issyk Kul Lake and attractions nearby Bokonbayevo. Our yurt tour gives you a tour of inside of our yurt, the camp area, the showers and toilets at the yurt camp, the dining communal area and several overhead drone shots of the yurts. We highly recommend yurt camping and the place we stayed at was fantastic. You'll notice the location below:

Yurt Tour in Kyrgyzstan by Issyk-Kul Lake Travel Video Transcript:
Well hello hello from Kyrgyzstan. You guys have probably gotten used to our hotel room tours around the world but this time around we're staying at a yurt camp and if you've been watching our Kyrgyzstan videos you may have gotten a few glimpses of our yurt but we're going to be showing you the whole complex.
So right now we're staying at the Bel Tam Yurt Camp and we're on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake and we're just outside of Bokonbayevo. That is the name of the town. So now that you know where we are let's actually go inside the yurt. Come along.
And we are what?
We are the mountain goat. There are no numbers for the yurts just cool drawings. So we got the mountain goat at the very end of the property so come on in.
These wooden doors that we close at night. So two sets of doors and now come on in. There is no electricity in here so it is a little bit dark but follow me.
So this is it. You are inside our yurt and technically this yurt sleeps three people but it is just the two of us in here. Although our suitcases have exploded so it looks really messy and we've actually taken over the three beds.
So if you take a look at the ground it is basically carpets. So they've put down a sheet of plastic so that we're not like trailing in sand and dirt. Yeah.
And that it is just a whole bunch of carpets on top. That plastic is right there. Yeah.
And then for our beds we have mattresses. Yes. With lots duvets but we have slept in yurts where you don't get a mattress it is just like blankets and mats. Yep. So this is pretty comfortable. No, this is really nice.
Yeah, it is really nice to have a mattress like this. And I just love how colorful it is. I know. It is wonderful. Like check it out.
Look at even up top here. It is so cool. Yeah.
And I don't know if you've mentioned this but we've been getting the best sleeps here. Oh my gosh yes. So like I mentioned there is no electricity we just have a few candles that we light at night. Yeah.
So that means we get to bed. Show the other one that has all of the wax. That has the melted wax. The wax is running off. Look at that.
So we've been laying that at night. Yeah, and then as soon as we're ready to sleep we blow it out and it is basically pitch black until the morning but the nice thing is that we're here in June meaning that like it is light out by five in the morning. Yes.
And it stays light out until eight or eight thirty at night?
So alright and as you may have noticed there is no toilet in here so we're going to give you a tour of the rest of the camp so follow me out.
Alright, so before we take you to the bathrooms we're actually going to show you the dining yurt because that is on the way.
And that is an even bigger yurt and everyone gathers here for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we all eat together.
And but I would really recommend it if you're coming all the way to Kyrgyzstan you need to stay in a yurt.
This is part of our Travel in Kyrgyzstan video series showcasing Kyrgyz food, Kyrgyz culture and Kyrgyz cuisine.

I like your Kyrgyzstan videos. Now, this is getting exotic. Great idea for a destination. I'm suspecting it was physically challenging. Nobody spends half a day on a horse, as a casual, without paying for it. I'm suspecting mutton was #1 on the menu... I think the swing is a test of synchronisation. -"Can they work together?". It seems wise to challenge future couples that way. I liked that you showed that. You guys are advanced travellers so I like to see you struggle. It tells me That if I was to go there It would be a real shock. So I live my trip to the heavenly Kyrgyzstan to you but I still get to see it. Keep it up and thanks

When I was little and we had to use outhouses, I was always afraid of accidentally falling in, especially at night, and the outhouse was basically wooden plank with a hole in the middle! It's funny Sam that you guys show the toilet, right before you say "not so scary" you show an empty toilet seat cover paper dispenser, lol. By the way, I think I heard you guy say that the families you were staying with were observing Ramadan but then on some of the places you were visiting sold alcohol or had fermented drinks, I am assuming the population you are visiting are either mix population, including non-Muslims or it could just be Muslims who indulge alcohol occasionally? I was just curious about that. And finally, I already miss the dog from the your first stop, I guess he didn't follow you guys, lol.
@samuelandaudrey
@samuelandaudrey 7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Ah, I think our biggest nightmare would be to fall into the hole...LOL To answer your question about that most people in Kyrgyzstan are Muslim but some don't observe the customs as strictly as others. Ah, that dog was awesome. I wish we could have had him come along our whole trip.

Well, I live on Kazakhstan and my country is one of the youngest one. (We exist for loong time but officially become country only in 1991, Yeeaahhh history time! :D) Why i'm telling this? Cause we still "growing", so don't expect stm like Japan or Korea. Soon or later we become waayy cooler than this countries >:D Our people is pretty friendly, but most of them don't know english :( But not me! :D I give you some advice. If you wanna go to travel or just visit my country go to Almaty or Astana. (Better go to Almaty my (~˘▾˘)~ fav city) Hope you will visit and will have good memeries!
