at 6:50 he wasnt only reading the holes created by the o line. he was reading the hips of both defenders. Being able to break tackles has a lot to do with being a step ahead of the defender when it comes to positioning. He knew by taking the A gap (the hole he was "supposed" to hit, he was inside the hips of both defenders. By choosing a different hole, he not only took the other linebacker out of the equation, but he forced the one that made the tackle to open his hips in the other direction, which takes time and might out the defender out of pos enough to not be able to make the tackle. Sure he got tackled, but it doesnt mean his read wasnt acceptable.

@esp13445 жыл бұрын
The rest of the Giants offense has "Barry Sanders era Detroit offense syndrome". When you're the entire offense and you have the ability to break off home runs like that, that's how you run. Unfortunately Detroit never did get better, but if and when the Giants offense can figure themselves out I think this problem takes care of itself because he no longer *needs* to hit that home run, they can actually rely on him for consistent yards gained and throw off of that and he's still good enough to break one off running for those "dirty yards".

@Jzach Thanks for not being like any other Giants fan and cursing me out for my opinion, but even though he does have a great O-line, remember that this year we were with out Travis Frederick, a backup G when Zack Martin was out (pass 2 games), and a backup LT when Tyron Smith was out for a while (was never consistent in his health) and a rookie G that got injured for past 3 games (back up G was playing, and the rookie couldn’t protect against a decent Bull Rush) and he leads the league in rushing. But our lines are practically the same tho
@georgebigar18565 жыл бұрын
Zeke and Barkley are different. First off our O line is shit too we’ve got all backups in at all 3 interior line positions. Second Zeke is a power runner who gets downhill and lays the wood. Barkley is a shifty runner. We come down hill and hit you 20x a game and y’all force defense to tackle him with the zone run. Different guys different offenses different styles

As a depressed jags fan, let me revisit that giants game. Prior to that one run, he was at about something like 13 carries for 20 yards or something. Those 20 yards did not feel like 20 yards. It should have been 13 carries for negative yards, but Barkley made the jaguars hustle for every tackle possible. Then by the time he busted out for a huge play, mistackles in that play should have been made had they not been exhausted by Barkley’s running. He singlehandedly tire the jags defense by himself to get that run going. And props for him having poise by not giving up until that last run he had

Great video bro and can you make a video about Xavien Howard bc he has been balling this season

INT's don't necessarily equal balling, Howard is one of the most inconsistent Corners in the league, having been beaten for four touchdowns already and giving up 16 yards per catch (I'm not saying he's bad of course but he probably shouldn't even be in the AFC Pro Bowl this year).

He runs so much like Barry Sanders, and that's exactly what makes him great. Like Barry, he will learn a little bit better but I don't think his greed to take larger plays is ever going to change. He was like that in college and will remain like that in the pros, a big play threat. What the Giants need is someone to complement him, someone who will make the defense have a more aggressive mindset where those kinds of bounce plays open up more often rather than expecting him to change his mindset a lot. If they can find someone in the later rounds next year in the draft that is a powerful inside runner that might just not be fast, they can free up those huge plays. But the fact that a Barry Sanders type is able to even get this kind of yardage in a day and age where defenses are trying to stop all of these jet sweep and read option offenses is amazing. Lots of credit to him.

Im going with Zeke or Barkley. If the Giants fix that Oline and Barkley has a season behind him its gonna be dirty. As for Zeke the oline is missing one its best and so is the defense. There's gonna be more opportunity and better production from him for sure. Gurley has been great but I just dont trust the Rams to be the same. Kamara is gonna be lead back if Ingram isnt re signed, very likely he isnt and Kamara might be worth top 3, maybe #1, but isnt a great runner like Zeke or Barkley. Mccafrey is a stud but that team is just hot garbage. They went from favorites to shit so quick, i just dont trust that team at all, they also use him alot which makes him a great fantasy asset but thats gotta backfire sometime, he missed 21 snaps all year, like goddamn.
