i mean , yes Tanjiro himself said how he knew from the very begining Zenitsu was really strong but they never saw him fight for real until upper moon 6, if you rewatch the anime, in the scene tanjiro gets saved from the web attack of lower 5 he thought at first it was zenitsu who saved him, so that shows that even then Tanjiro in his mind had Zenitsu so high up in his power scale at that moment he thought zenitsu could actually cut Uri's Blood demon webs ( we wont ever know if that was a fact or tanjiro was just delucional sadly)
